Hachem Lays One Down

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Daniel Hachem and Florian Duta were heads-up on the turn with a board reading {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Hachem checked from under the gun and Duta tossed in a bet of 90,000 in the hijack. Hachem called and the {6-Clubs} completed the board.

Hachem checked once more and Duta put together a bet of 295,000. Hachem took a sip of his beer as he dipped into the tank for about three minutes. He finally slid his cards to the muck and pleaded for Duta to show one card but he did not comply.

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Florian Duta opened to 45,000 from the cutoff and the small blind three-bet to 180,000. Duta peeled and the flop came {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

The small blind checked and Duta put out a bet of 165,000. After a few moments, his opponent gave up and Duta took down the pot, bringing him up to over 1.5 million chips.

Park Gets Fold With River Raise

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

There was about 350,000 in the pot on the river with a board of {6-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and the player in the big blind had a bet of 175,000 in front of him with action back on him after Brian Park had just raised for close to a full stack of green T$25,000 chips.

"You just sigh-raised me?!" Park's opponent said. He thought for close to a minute before asking Park how much his raise was. Park cut out his bet and it ended up being 425,000.

Park's opponent continued, saying he would need a minute. The table told him to take his time and after two more minutes he said he had almost come to a decision. Another minute passed and cards were sent to the muck.

"Now is the time to show the bluff!" somebody said at the table. Park remained stone-faced as he pushed his two cards forward to the dealer in exchange for the pot.

"World-Class Fold" by Matusow

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

There was a raise to 42,000 in middle position and Andy Hwang and Mike Matusow both called from the blinds. The flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Spades} and the action checked to the preflop raiser who continued for 75,000. Hwang called and Matusow came along to the {9-Diamonds} on the turn.

Both Hwang and Matusow checked again. They were faced with another bet of 180,000 this time. Hwang quickly called and Matusow gave it some thought before finally tossing his cards away.

Matusow turned his back to the table, "I don't wanna see," he mumbled. The {q-Hearts} paired the board and both players checked. Hwang turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for a full house which was fortunate to beat his opponent's {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

"I made a world-class fold," Matusow piped up. "Jack-nine of spades."

McCorkell's Rockets Blast One Home

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Craig McCorkell opened and was reraised all in by the small blind for his final four big blinds. He made the call and the two turned up their hands.

Craig McCorkell: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {5-Spades}{4-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the all-in player was drawing dead by the turn, ending his night about an hour sooner than those who will live to see another day.
