Rau Takes from Matusow

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

With about 350,000 in the pot and the board reading {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, [Removed:140] bet 300,000 from the hijack and Mike Matusow went into the tank for about three minutes before he called.

Rau tabled {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for fours full of nines, Matusow mucked and Rau won the pot.

Getzen Dusted

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Down to his last 335,000, Nicholas Getzen was in middle position and looked down at his cards. After around a full minute of deliberation, he pushed forward his last chips to commit them to the pot. Action folded around to Jaysun Petruce in the big blind who looked at his cards, capped them, and announced a call.

Nicholas Getzen: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Jaysun Petruce: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Getzen found himself in a coin flip situation for his tournament life. The flip turned grim for him when the flop came {7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The turn {5-Clubs} sealed his fate and was followed by the meaningless river {2-Clubs} and Getzen found himself cooked to a crisp.

Andrade Eliminated by Park

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Brian Park raised to 75,000 from mid-position and Joseph Beasy called on the button. Gabriel Andrade three-bet shoved for 480,000 in the big blind and action was back on Park. Park raised big and that was more than enough to make Beasy fold his button so the cards could go on their backs.

Gabriel Andrade: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Brian Park: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} for Park to hit top pair and improve to two pair on the turn to eliminate Andrade from the Main Event.

Hall in the Torture Chamber

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Galen Hall checked in the big blind on a completed board of {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Michael Niwinski bet 330,000 from the cutoff into a pot of about 250,000. That was almost all of Hall's stack, as he'd only have a few big blinds left if he called and lost. He went deep into the tank, apologizing after a couple of minutes.

"F*** man, if you have like ace-six this is gonna be so gross," he said.

Again he apologized, but he finally opted to fold.

"I was going to check-jam the turn," he said.

"That would have been a rough spot," Niwinski said with a smile.

Zavorotnijs Gets Value With River Raise vs Cheong

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action was picked up on a board that read {3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Joseph Cheong was under the gun and he bet 250,000 over to Vitalijs Zavorotnijs who was in the small blind who decided to raise to 675,000. Cheong confirmed the raised amount before tossing in the call.

Zavorotnijs showed the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for trips which was good enough to win the pot as Cheong mucked.

Getzen Falls Slowly With Kings

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Nicholas Getzen opened to 75,000 from middle position and action folded around to Xixiang Luo in the big blind who announced he was all in.

Getzen went into the tank for about 40 seconds, asking about the size of the shove and cautiously comparing it to his own stack size. Eventually, he picked up chips and said something along the lines of good luck to his opponent before dropping the chips in and tabling his hand.

"Player shows two kings," the dealer said.

"What, two kings?" responded Luo who felt much less confident about his hand at this point, tabling {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Much to Luo's favor, the board ran out {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and he secured the double while Getzen was left with a short stack.

Lewis Clicking Buttons

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Romain Lewis
Romain Lewis

Romain Lewis raised it up from middle position and Elias Gutierrez defended from the big blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Gutierrez checked to Lewis who fired in a continuation bet. Gutierrez check-raised to 220,000 and Lewis clicked it back for 370,000. Gutierrez called and the {9-Spades} double-paired the board on the turn.

Both players knuckled the table and the {7-Diamonds} landed on the river. Gutierrez counted out a bet of 500,000 and Lewis thought for a minute before shoving all in. Lewis had the larger of the two stacks but Gutierrez quickly sent his cards to the muck.

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

John Hashem shoved for about 480,000 effective in the small blind and Miguel Seoane Iglesias called it off in the big with {a-Spades}{5-Spades}. Hashem had live cards with {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and he paired up for the knockout on {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Cheong Takes It on the River

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Joining the action on the {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop, Robert McLaughlin checked out of the big blind and Joseph Cheong did so from the hijack. Henrik Hecklen bet 60,000 on the button and McLaughlin folded, Cheong called. The {4-Hearts} turn was checked and Cheong's bet for 225,000 on the {9-Spades} river won the pot.

Lybaert Loses it All

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Bart Lybaert
Bart Lybaert

Bart Lybaert had been losing chips all day as he couldn't win any hands according to himself. He then shoved his last 210,000 in from the cutoff and was called by Alan Goehring on the button while the blinds folded.

Bart Lybaert: {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Alan Goehring: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Spades}{k-Spades}{a-Spades} for Lybaert to find a pair but for Goehring to hit top two pair.

Lybaert got up from his chair to see the {4-Hearts} fall on the turn, followed by the {6-Clubs} on the river, not delivering what the Belgian player needed.

"At least you picked up a pay jump," Jake Daniels commented but Lybaert didn't really react to that comment as he made his way out of the tournament area.
