Attention High Rollers! Event #14: $3,200 NLH Starts at 3 p.m. PDT

The largest buy-in of the 2020 Online World Series of Poker is on the schedule for today as Event #14: $3,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller kicks-off at 3:00 p.m. PDT.

The High Roller Event features 20-minute blind levels and the $3,200 buy-in gives players 25,000 chips to play with. Players who bust out can re-enter twice, with late registration and re-entries available for three hours and fifty-five minutes. Tournament tickets may not be used on re-entries.

Eight-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Michael “miguelfiesta” Lech shipped his first WSOP bracelet early this morning after he defeated William “SlaweelRyam” Romaine in heads-up play in 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Event #13: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Freezeout winning the top prize of 164,248.92.

Today's High Roller Event looks to attract many well known players as WSOP bracelet winners David "Twizzlers" Prociak, Tony "Panoramic" Dunst, and Eric "circleball" Baldwin have already signed up and will be firing from the start.

This is a single day event meaning the entire tournament will be played out online and the winner will take home a WSOP Gold Bracelet.

This is the fourteenth of 85 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (31 events – one each day for the month of July) and GG Poker ( holding the remaining 54 events).

The former client will cater to players in Nevada and New Jersey (players in Delaware are NOT able to participate), while the latter will serve the international base.

How To Play

The first step in getting set up to play on WSOP.com is to download the client. You can do so for both mobile (Android and iOS) and desktop (Windows 7 or higher and Mac OS X 10.6.8).

To get the correct version of the client, use the links below:

Florida’s David "Twizzlers" Prociak Aiming for Another Final Table Appearance

Level 1 : 25/50, 5 ante
David Prociak winning a WSOPC ring.
David Prociak winning a WSOPC ring.

When you talk about grinders, one name that constantly pops up is Florida’s David Prociak, who is playing in today’s tournament under the screen name “Twizzlers.” A few days ago, Prociak finished in fourth place for $41,472 in Event #11: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo Deepstack 6-Handed.

He has more than $1.2 million in lifetime earnings dating back to 2015, including a career-best $330,912 for finishing runner-up in the 2015 Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open $3,500 Main Event. The following year, he took down the 2016 WSOP Event #60: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better tournament for $156,546.

Toss in a couple of WSOPC gold ring wins, including a victory in the WSOPC Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event #7: $1,125 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed earlier this year for $51,400, and Prociak is clearly a forced to be reckoned with.

Prociak, who learned to play the game by watching it on TV, rented an AirBnB in order to grind the online series and was kind enough to send us a photo of him in action.

You can follow him on Twitter @DavidProciakPok.

Jeff "NedrudRelyt" Madsen opened under the gun for 300, Raman "Acrogum" Afanasenka called from middle position and Anthony "nowb3athat" Spinella three-bet to 1,600 from the hijack.

Action folded back around to Madsen who called while Afanasenka four-bet to 5,870 and he was only called by Spinella.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Afanasenka continued for 3,450 and Spinella called to see the board pair with the {q-Clubs} on the turn.

Both players checked to the {7-Hearts} river and Afanasenka check-called Spinella's 5,500 bet.

Spinella rolled over the nuts holding {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Afanasenka mucked his hand.

Maria Konnikova
Maria Konnikova

Champie "kiddchamp" Douglas opened for 400 from middle position and Matthew "EarvinMagic" Parry called from the button.

Maria "bluerat" Konnikova came along from the big blind and it was three-way action to the {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop.

Konnikova checked, Douglas continued for 730, and Parry called.

Konnikova then woke up with a check-raise to 2,800 and that did the trick as both her opponents folded.

In case you didn't know it, Konnikova recently released her new book, The Biggest Bluff: How I Learned to Pay Attention, Master Myself, and Win, which has garnered rave reviews. Check out the PokerNews book review here to find out more.

Level 5 : 125/250, 25 ante
Shankar Pillai
Shankar Pillai

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Shankar "Burgersssss" Pillai rasied to 500 under the gun only to have Terry "mrterry007" Fleischer three-bet to 1,681 from the lojack. "Williesutton" called from the cutoff and then Pillai four-bet to 4,862. Fleischer responded by five-bet jamming for 45,516, "Williesutton" folded, and Pillai called off for 21,526 total.

Terry "mrterry007" Fleischer: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Shankar "Burgersssss" Pillai: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Pillai had the goods and the {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop kept him firmly in the lead. The {q-Clubs} turn gave Fleischer a gutshort straight draw but he missed when the {8-Spades} bricked on the turn.

Funaro Rebuys After Running Into Liebert's Ladies

Level 7 : 200/400, 40 ante
Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

Kathy "Luckygal" Liebert raised from under the gun and Frank "thewholefunk" Funaro three-bet to 2,490 from the hijack.

Action on the tabled folded back around to Liebert who four-bet to 8,160 before calling Funaro's 16,477 five-bet jam.

Kathy "Luckygal" Liebert: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Frank "thewholefunk" Funaro: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Funaro was way behind and things got worse after a queen appeared in the window on the {4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop.

The {8-Hearts} turn left Funaro drawing dead and he re-entered the tournament after the {2-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Rocha Falls to Drinan

Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Connor "666666" Drinan opened for 1,060 from middle position before calling Alexander "RIP_Neiko" Rocha's 8,002 three-bet jam from the cutoff.

Connor "666666" Drinan: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Alexander "RIP_Neiko" Rocha: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Rocha was dominated until a jack appeared in the window but it was just an illusion as a queen was underneath it on the {2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop.

The {5-Clubs} turn was no help for Rocha nor was the other {5-Spades} that followed on the river as his tournament came to an end.

Buzgon Runs Out of "juice"

Level 9 : 300/600, 60 ante
Daniel Buzgon
Daniel Buzgon

Yong Keun "LuckySpewy1" Kwon raised to 1,200 from middle position, and Daniel "juice" Buzgon three-bet shoved for 10,533 on the button. Kwon quickly called.

Daniel "juice" Buzgon: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Yong Keun "LuckySpewy1" Kwon: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Buzgon's prospects went from bad to worse on a {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{a-Spades} flop, which gave Kwon a set of queens and left Buzgon looking for running fours to survive. The miracle wouldn't come in on a {10-Hearts} turn and {6-Clubs} river, and Buzgon was eliminated.
