Event #23: $600 Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em
Day 1 Completed
Day 1 went the distance in the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online Event #23: $600 Deepstack Championship, playing the full 32 levels, but playing down to under 50 players remaining by the end of the day. James Chen from Taiwan bagged the biggest stack as they played down from the starting field of 2,920. While more than 400 prizes have already been handed out, the majority of the $1,607,400 prize pool is still to play for.
Manish "thekid" Lakhotia and James "PHJ10" Carroll will both have their sights set on Chen for Day 2, as they both put about 4.7 million into bags for 2nd and 3rd in the counts.
Among the notables to make Day 2 was GGPoker Team Brazil player Felipe Ramos. Ramos went on a tear near the end of the evening to build a stack of more than 3 million, and ultimately ended the day with about 2.5 million.
GGPoker streamer Michael "Minthon" Yakovlev is also still in action, bagging a smaller stack. Tim "BeardOilGuy" Rutherford and Jonathan Proudfoot also managed to find bags for Day 2.
