Puustinen Gets Some Back

Level 50 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Henri Puustinen won the last two hands in the previous level, one of which was with showdown, and then opened to 60,000. Jason Koon called to see the {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop on which he check-called for 40,000. The {5-Clubs} turn went check, check, and Koon bet the {3-Spades} river for 50,000. Puustinen called and was good with the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, as Koon only had {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Szabo Flops a Straight

Level 49 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Gabor Szabo raised to 54,000 from the button and Dan Zack three-bet to 170,000 which Szabo called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Zack continued with a bet of 375,000 which Szabo called.

They both checked through the {3-Spades} on the turn to the {j-Spades} on the river. Zack checked for the final time and Szabo tanked for a while before reluctantly doing the same while sort of shrugging. Zack tabled the {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for Szabo to claim the pot with the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the flopped straight.

They both opted to check through the {j-Clubs} on the turn to the {7-Spades} on the river. Puustinen bet 240,000 for Koon to tank and then put him all-in. Puustinen folded quite quickly.

Puustinen Works on a Comeback

Level 48 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Jason Koon made it 45,000 to go on the button and Henri Puustinen opted to three-bet to 190,000 in total. After some consideration, Koon called and both ended up checking down the entire board of {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Koon tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Puustinen had the superior kicker with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

"Comeback," he said with a smirk on the face.

Henri Puustinen raised to 46,000 and Jason Koon three-bet to 210,000 for his opponent to call. On the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Koon continued for 260,000 and Puustinen stuck around to see the {8-Diamonds} on the turn. Koon now bet 600,000 with around 700,000 behind and Puustinen eyeballed his stack.

The Finn then moved all-in and Koon called.

Jason Koon: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Henri Puustinen: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

Koon's double gutshot and flush draw got there thanks to the {j-Diamonds} river to allow his double for 1,307,000.

Koon Tanks, Talks, and Folds

Level 48 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

With what looked like a raise of 40,000 before the flop, a bet of around 55,000 on the flop, and a bet of 275,000 on the turn, the board read {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Jason Koon had just checked and Henri Puustinen fired a bet of 480,000 over the line from the button. This sent Koon deep into the tank.

He fired some comments and questions towards Puustinen to get some kind of response but the Finn didn't pull a muscle. Koon glanced at his hole cards a few times, cut out calling chips, and then looked once more before opting to fold.
