Adam Friedman

Stud Hi

Adam Friedman: {x-}{x-}/{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}/{x-}
Benny Glaser: {x-}{x-}/{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}/{x-}

The action was picked up on sixth street with a bet by Glaser and a call from Friedman.

Seventh street saw Glaser bet once more, and Friedman called all-in for less. Glaser tabled his hole cards of {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and nines, Friedman mucked and was eliminated from the tournament.

Razz

John Monnette: {x-}{x-}/{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Diamonds}/{x-}
Benny Glaser: {x-}{x-}/{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}/{x-}

The action was discovered on sixth street with Monnette facing a bet from Glaser. Monnette tanked for a bit, but eventually made the call.

Seventh street was pitched face down to each player. Glaser fired once again, and after mulling his options over for a while, Monnette folded.

Glaser now sits above one million in tournament chips.

Down and Up for Sternheimer

Level 18

Limit Hold'em

David Benyamine doubled through Philip Sternheimer and the Brit then defended the {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop against Roland Israelashvili with a check-call. The {4-Clubs} turn was checked by both, and Sternheimer check-raised the {a-Hearts} river. Israelashvili called but mucked when he was shown {j-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a flopped straight.

Sternheimer then chopped a pot with Matt Glantz when both made the top pair on a {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades} board. Sternheimer had the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Glantz chopped with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} when they checked down the river.

John Monnette: {x-}{x-} / {3-}{8-}{6-}{7-} / {x-}

Bohlman Doubles Through Negreanu

Level 18

Seven Card Stud

Scott Bohlman: {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} / {q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} / {10-Hearts}
Daniel Negreanu: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} / {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} / {2-Clubs}

Scott Bohlman was all-in after fourth with a pair of queens and then improved to two pair against the pocket kings of Daniel Negreanu. On sixth, Bohlman made two pair to take the lead.

Negreanu peeled his final card but the {2-Clubs} was a brick giving Bohlman the double.

Yu Hero-Calls Correctly

Level 18

Omaha Hi-Lo

On the tail end of a pot between Ben Yu in the big blind and John Monnette, the completed board showed {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. With 225,000 in the pot, Yu checked and Monnette bet. Yu tank-called and was good with {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a pair of tens and an eight-five low, as Monnette only had the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Klein Chips Up Through Negreanu; Guagenti Vanishes

Level 18

Seven Card Stud

Jesse Klein: {x-}{x-} / {9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} / {x-}
Nick Guagenti: {x-}{x-} / {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} fold
Daniel Negreanu: {x-}{x-} / {7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} / {x-}

Nick Guagenti and Scott Bohlman were reduced to short stacks and the former folded in three-way action when Jesse Klein bet open showing kings. Daniel Negreanu called and did so again on sixth. They checked seventh and Klein rolled over the {10-Spades}{4-}{x-} for kings and tens, which won the pot.

Guagenti then lost the last few big bets shortly thereafter.

Philip Sternheimer: {x-}{x-} / {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} fold

Yuval Bronshtein earned a bigger pot outright without showdown when he bet sixth street against chip leader Philip Sternheimer. The latter had a king-queen showing and tank-folded.
