Lyons Busts Lowery After Break

Level 9 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

John Lyons had Randy Lowery all in with {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} against {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. The board ran out {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{x-} and Lyons' pocket fives held to score the knockout.

"Put him down as a future bracelet winner," Mark Ingram, seated to Lyons' left, said.

"Wannabe bracelet winner," Lyons corrected. "Really wants to win a bracelet."

Eyster Checks Twice

Level 8 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Kevin Eyster raised under the gun to 25,000 and Ray Foley called in the cutoff before the big blind defended.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and all three players checked. On the turn {10-Clubs} all three players checked once again.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and after the big blind checked Eyster fired in a bet for 36,000. Foley called and the big blind mucked. Eyster tabled {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} for two pair and the dealer shipped him the chips.

Ingram Makes Queens Full to Double Through Lowery

Level 8 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Randy Lowery and Mark Ingram both got all their chips in the middle before the flop. "Do you've got more than I've got?" Lowery asked.

Lowery had Ingram covered but found himself dominated, holding {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} against {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Lowery was left drawing dead by the turn on a board of {4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades} as Ingram made a full house, queens over fours, to double up for 252,000.

Top Pair is Good

Level 8 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The action folded around to the button who raised to 29,000 and only Corey Bierria called, doing so from the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, and Bierria check-called a bet of 15,000.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Bierria check-called for the second time, this time the bet was 48,000.

When the {8-Diamonds} landed on the river both players quickly checked and Bierria tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} for top pair and raked the pot.

There was already 260,000 in the pot when Joao Valli called a bet from Elio Fox on a board of {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}. When the {6-Spades} came on the river, Fox pushed all in and Valli snap-called for his last 200,000.

Fox showed {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for the missed wheel draw, while Valli had {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for two pair, queens and deuces to double up and jump near the top of the leaderboard.

Lam Puts the Pressure On

Level 8 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

John Iemolo raised in the cutoff and Huy Lam three-bet from the small blind to 85,000. Courtney Binnie thought it over for a while and let her hand go before Iemolo called.

On the flop of {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Lam instantly fired out a bet of 80,000 and that was enough for Iemolo to surrender the pot.
