Hastings Left Short by Aronesty, Eliminated by Hicks

Level 20

Omaha Hi-Lo

Brian Hastings and Joe Aronesty went to a flop of {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Hastings bet and Aronesty called.

Aronesty led out on the {7-Hearts} turn, and Hastings called to see the {10-Clubs} river. Aronesty bet and Hastings called again, leaving himself just 25,000 behind.

Aronesty turned over {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for a flush to win the hand.

Hastings moved all in the next hand and was called by Kai Hicks. Hastings had {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, and Hicks had {q-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, giving Hicks trip tens and sending Hastings to the payout desk.

Blind Versus Blind Action

Level 20

Limit Hold'em

It was Dennis Witol in the small blind that first offered Darren Kennedy the opportunity to fold before he looked at his cards. It was an opportunity that Kennedy passed on, which prompted Witol to call and Kennedy checked.

The dealer spread the flop of {6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Witol led out and Kennedy called.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and Witol bet out again. This sent Kennedy into the tank and he eventually opted to fold his {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} face up. That got Witol to flash the {a-Clubs} with a smile as he returned his winning hand to the dealer.

Bhargava Makes Two Pair on Witol

Level 20

Limit Hold'em

With the board showing {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, Sachin Bhargava put out a bet and had opponent Dennis Witol talking.

"I have no idea how to play Limit Hold'em. Can I phone a friend," he jokingly asked the dealer.

Witol eventually made the call, and Bhargava turned over {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a turned two pair. "Who are you? How do you have my number all day?," Witol said as he handed over the pot.

Saechao Eliminates Esposito

Level 20

Stud Hi-Lo

John Esposito: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}/{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}/{6-Spades}
Kao Chieng Saechao: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}/{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}/{k-Clubs}

It was Saechao that fired a bet out on sixth street and Esposito made the call for less and was all-in. The dealer pitched seventh street face down and the at-risk player Esposito needed help as his jacks were behind the kings of Saechao. The final card proved to be of no help to Esposito, and it was the trip kings of Saechao that took down the pot and eliminated Esposito.
