Mustafa's River Bet Gets Through

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The under-the-gun player raised to 3,100 and the player on his left made the call before Syed Ali Mustafa called in the cutoff.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, the under-the-gun player checked and his left threw out a bet of 3,000 which both Mustafa and the under the gun called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and the under-the-gun checked once again to his left that put in a bet of 10,000. Mustafa instantly called and the under-the-gun called as well.

On the {k-Hearts} river, both players checked to Mustafa who fired in a bet of 22,000 and that was enough to force them both out of the pot.

Negreanu Shoves on River

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The board was already completed and read {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}. The pot was about 30,000 and Daniel Negreanu was first to act from the small blind and moved a stack of big chips forward to force his opponent all in.

His opponent considered it for about ten seconds before he folded.

Negreanu lifted up his cards and showed one at a time. The {q-Diamonds} then the {q-Clubs} and raked in the pot.

Genge Eliminates Zedan

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Picking up the action with Yi Li on the button having 9,000 in, Zuis Zedan who had fallen short was all-in for 5,000 and Greg Genge bet the pot. Li tanked for a while and eventually let his hand go.

Luis Zedan: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Greg Genge: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, giving Zedan a pair of queens but he was going to need more than that to beat the kings of Genge. The turn {7-Clubs} and river {9-Diamonds} were no help though and the reigning champion was eliminated.
