Bhandari Cracks Aces to Send Sande Home

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Leonard Sande got the rest of his short-stack all in against Manan Bhandari.

Leonard Sande: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}
Manan Bhandari: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Sande was in a good position for the double-up before the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Bhandari hit a pair of kings on the flop and turned a queen to make two pair. The river was no help to Sande, who was eliminated.

Cheong Eliminated by Vanloo

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Joseph Cheong was out of position in a heads-up pot against Tim Vanloo and called a bet on the flop of {j-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Cheong then led out on the {9-Clubs} turn and his opponent called.

Cheong moved all-in for around 280,000 on the {5-Clubs} river and Vanloo quickly called.

"Ten-eight," Cheong said and showed a straight with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{x-}.

"King-ten," Vanloo responded before showing the nut straight with {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and scooping the pot.

Yen Takes Chip Lead In Pot That Extends Into Break

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With the board reading {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and already around 500,000 in the pot, Alexander Yen bet 500,000 and sent Ryan Gibson into the tank.

"Sick hand," Gibson said as he pondered the decision for several minutes extending into the break. "Do you always have to have it?"

At different times, Gibson grabbed his cards as if about to muck and cut out the chips to call. Finally, after about eight minutes, he called.

"Queen-high flush," he announced. But Yen had him beat with {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{k-Spades} for an ace-high flush to take the massive pot and the tournament chip lead.

Lin Eliminated by Park

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Thida Lin on the button went all-in preflop for around 80,000 and got a call from Jungwoong Park in the small blind.

Thida Lin: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Jungwoong Park: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Lin had outs to a king-high flush when the flop came out {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} but couldn't get there as the {7-Clubs} turn and {3-Clubs} river completed the board.

The hand marked the end of another deep run by Lin, who finished second in Event #30: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha in 2019.
