Burgess' Fold Goes from Good to Bad as Beckman Doubles

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Corey Burgess raised pre-flop before Greg Beckman moved all in for about 20,000 and the player to Beckman's right re-shoved. Burgess gave it some thought but decided to fold, saying he had {10-}{10-}.

Beckman showed {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} and was up against {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop gave Beckman's opponent top set. "Good fold," a tablemate said to Burgess.

But the turn and river ran out {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, which would have given Burgess the straight and knocked out both opponents. "Bad fold. From good fold to bad fold," the tablemate said.

Beckman had the lower end of the straight to crack his opponent's set and double up.
