Schwartz Takes From Benyamine

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Big O Hi-Lo

On the tail end of a smaller pot between Jake Schwartz and David Benyamine, the board showed {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Schwartz bet and Benyamine reluctantly called, then mucked when he was shown the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for two pair and a seven low by Schwartz.

The same table now also features Ismael Bojang, who entered late on Day 1.

Kassela Eliminated by Benyamine

Frank Kassela

Stud Hi-Lo

Frank Kassela: {7-Spades}{8-Hearts} / {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades} / {7-Diamonds}
David Benyamine: {4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} / {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} / {2-Diamonds}

Frank Kassela had most of the chips already invested and then got it in after sixth street with a pair of nines and an open-ender.

"I also have an open-ender," David Benyamine replied.

He peeled the deuce on seventh to make the straight and low, and Kassela bricked his superior straight draw.

Negreanu Jams Into Le

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Four players saw the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop with 17,000 in the middle and Daniel Negreanu bet 6,500 after the action was checked to him. Only Allan Le called and they then headed to the {6-Clubs} turn. Negreanu jammed for 18,500 and Le eventually folded.

One Pair Works for Matusow

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Omaha High Only

"Write that down in the report. Mike is above the starting stack for the first time in four events," the remark by Mike Matusow came as he had just clawed his way to more than what he started with.

Right after, Joao Vieira raised and Matusow three-bet in this limit variant. Matusow bet the {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop and the {j-Spades} turn, both of which Vieira called. They checked the {2-Diamonds} on the river and Matusow announced one pair. He then tabled the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a pair of kings and Vieira mucked.
