Dario Sammartino opened to 16,000 in the hijack and picked up calls from Jake Schindler on the button, Mustapha Kanit in the small blind, and Cary Katz in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} and the action checked to Sammartino who continued with a bet of 15,000. Schindler and Kanit both called and Katz folded.

The turn was the {a-Spades} and the action checked around to the {k-Hearts} on the river. Kanit led out with a bet of 33,000 and Sammartino called while Schindler folded. Kanit tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for trip aces and Sammartino mucked, flashing the {a-Hearts} before doing so.

Mateos Goes for the Hero Call

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Frank Funaro and Adrian Mateos were heads-up in the blinds with a flop reading {10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Funaro checked to Mateos who threw in a bet only to have Funaro check-raise to 90,000. Mateos called and the {k-Spades} landed on the turn.

Funaro counted out a bet of 160,000 and Mateos stuck around to see the {k-Diamonds} on the river. Funaro slid out a bet of 328,000, leaving himself with just 3,000 chips behind. Mateos only had around 225,000 chips remaining and he dipped into the tank.

After nearly five minutes had passed with Mateos having a look of agony throughout, he finally called. Funaro showed {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for the nuts while Mateos could only muster {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for two pair.

Schindler mucked his hand and Katz scooped the pot.

Joe McKeehen raised it up from early position and was called by Justin Bonomo on his left and Erik Seidel in the big blind. The flop fell {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and the action checked to Bonomo who bet 12,000. Seidel called and McKeehen stepped aside.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {6-Hearts} on the river. Seidel checked once more and Bonomo threw in a bet of 36,000. Seidel pondered for a minute and then called. Bonomo showed {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a straight and Seidel conceded.
