Players on their first 15-minute break. 19 players remain and 13 will make the money.

Ball Chips Up with Eights

Level 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

With a {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} board showing and about 500,000 in the pot, Scott Ball was on the button facing a 240,000 turn bet from Bin Weng. He called and the two went to the river.

Both players checked the {7-Diamonds} river and Weng showed what looked to be {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} while Ball took the pot with {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Schindler Doubles Through Addamo

Level 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

Just before the break, Jake Schindler went all-in from the button for 255,000 and Michael Addamo in the cutoff called.

Jake Schindler: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Michael Addamo: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

It looked like goodbye for Schindler as the flop of {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} gave Addamo a set, but the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{j-Spades} to give Schindler a straight.

Even the dealer thought Addamo won and mucked Schindler's hand before the table pointed out the straight. The hand only put a small dent in Addamo's massive stack.

Level 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Brian Rast opened on the button and Anthony Zinno three-bet in the small blind. Rast responded with a four-bet jam of around 600,000 and Zinno called with his opponent covered.

Brian Rast: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Anthony Zinno: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} gave Zinno a set of queens and gave Rast two pair. Rast needed to hit an ace to stay alive but couldn't do so as the rest of the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Weng and Ball checked all the way down on the board of {2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Weng tabled {9-Spades}{6-Spades} and Ball showed {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, and neither hand was good against the ace-high of Peters with {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.
