Hachem Left Short Against Johnson

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

On a flop of {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Marco Johnson bet in the small blind after he had three-bet preflop and was called by Joe Hachem on the button. Johnson then checked the {7-Hearts} on the turn and Hachem bet for Johnson to call. The {3-Hearts} river was checked and Johnson's {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} ended up as the bets hand.

Matusow Claims Pot Against Liberto

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

In a battle cutoff versus button, Justin Liberto check-called the {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs} turn when facing a bet by Mike Matusow. The {a-Hearts} fell on the river and Liberto checked once more. Matusow now bet and earned a reluctant call by Liberto, revealing {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} as the winning hand.

"I wasn't going to bet again after you called the turn," Matusow mentioned in table chat and then added "they let me win a pot on Day 3, now I could win a hundred pots."

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Robert McLaughlin was in the big blind and called the open-shove of John Racener, who was the shortest stack at the table. McLaughlin patted while Racener took one card and the former revealed the {10-}{9-}{8-}{7-}{2-}.

Racener had plenty of outs with his {6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} draw but bricked it with a {k-} as the final card to bow out in 15th place for a payday of $7,626.

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

James Woods raised from the button to 43,000 and was re-raised all-in to 159,000 by Joe Hachem. After a brief moment, Woods called and the two went heads-up to the single draw with Hachem all-in and at-risk.

Each player drew one card. After all the dust had settled it was the {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} for an eight-six low for Woods that bested the paired holdings of {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} held by Hachem after his final draw card had been revealed.

With this hand, Hachem was eliminated in 14th place and took home $7,626 in cash.

"Man, I am playing so bad," Phan admitted and Liberto replied "you just gotta bet it."
