Ho Eliminated by Scott

Level 19
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

Limit Hold'em

After losing a bigger pot previously, Maria Ho had the vast majority of her remaining stack invested until the {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} turn. She then checked the {2-Clubs} river with 7,000 behind and Drew Scott bet. Ho gave it some 10 seconds of consideration and called it off. Scott rolled over the {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Ho's cards were tossed into the muck as she departed in 23rd place.

Colleen Long is now the last woman standing with 22 players still in the mix.

Hsiung and Waxman Chop

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Kenny Hsiung: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} / {x-}
Matt Waxman: {x-}{x-} / {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{j-Spades} / {x-}

Kenny Hsiung check-called on fourth and fifth street before then betting on sixth after a check by Matt Waxman. He earned a call and Waxman also checked seventh. Hsiung bet and Waxman reluctantly called to get shown the {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a low only. Waxman chopped as his {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} had made a pair of nines.

A Chop and a Double for Mender

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Anthony Mender: {5-Spades}{2-Spades} / {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} / {6-Diamonds}
Justin Liberto: {4-Clubs}{q-Spades} / {q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} / {4-Diamonds}

Anthony Mender was at risk and trailed against the pair of queens of Justin Liberto. He didn't make any pair but spiked the low on the river for a chop.

Anthony Mender: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} / {8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} / {k-Clubs}
James Woods: {7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} / {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades} / {6-Hearts}

Mender was then at risk with aces in the hole and James Woods took the lead with two pair. Woods bricked his additional straight draw and made "three pairs" while Mender spiked the broadway straight for the double.

Julia Storms Into Bigger Lead as Waxman Departs

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Matt Waxman
Matt Waxman

No-Limit Hold'em

Matt Waxman has become the 21st place finisher as he sent over his stack to Nicholas Julia, the latter of which has become the commanding chip leader. Waxman was the preflop aggressor and bet two third of the pot on. a {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. Julia jammed with the superior stack and Waxman called with {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for the overpair.

Julia had the {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a wheel and two bricks later, Waxman was heading to the payout desk.

Colleen Long
Colleen Long

2-7 Triple Draw

Prior to the second draw, Colleen Long check-raised all-in for the last 30,000. Robert McLaughlin had bet and Drew Scott called, which then re-opened the action as it was exactly 50% of a raise by Long. McLaughlin raised to 50,000 and Scott called.

Long took two while both her opponents patted. McLaughlin bet and Scott called. Long drew one, McLaughlin patted and Scott took one. Another bet by McLaughlin isolated as Scott folded.

McLaughlin tabled {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-} and Long needed an eight as she had made a {6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}. Instead, she paired the {5-} and bowed out in 19th place.
