Davies Gets Straight Value

Level 6 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river as the board read {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Seth Davies cut out a hefty bet of 140,000. Elio Fox called after a short tank.

Davies flipped over the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the straight and Fox mucked his hand. With that Davies joined the ranks of the larger stacks in the room.

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Action was picked up on the river with the board reading the {8-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}. The pot was about 65,000 and Daniel Negreanu placed a bet of 40,000 in the middle.

Mikita Badziakouski stewed it over for several moments before eventually landing on the call option.

Negreanu tabled the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for running trips which was the winner as Badziakouski dropped down to a shorter stack with the call.

Negreanu Good at Showdown

Level 6 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu opened from under the gun to 12,000 and an opponent in late position called.

Negreanu checked on the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop and his opponent checked back. The {k-Hearts} turn and {k-Clubs} river also went check-check and Negreanu showed down {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, which was enough to take down the pot.

Elias Runs Into Schindler's Set

Level 6 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

There were well over 100,000 chips in the middle already with the completed board of {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades} spread across the table. The action was on Darren Elias who shipped all in for a little over 50,000. Jake Schindler quickly called to put Elias at risk.

Elias turned over {a-}{k-} for top pair top kicker but it was no match for the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} of Schindler who flopped a set. Elias was bounced from the tournament while Schindler raked in a healthy pot.

Pocket Rockets Engage in a Long Duel

Level 6 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

There was already a huge pot of about 115,000 in the middle as Brock Wilson from early position and Shannon Shorr on his immediate left saw a flop of {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Wilson led for 23,000 and Shorr called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts}. Wilson bet again, this time for 32,000 and was called again.

The river came the {8-Spades}. Wilson fired a third time for 67,000. Shorr raised all in, as he had Wilson covered. Wilson only had about 25,000 behind but went into the tank, seemingly tortured by the decision. He thought for over a minute before he called.

Shorr tabled the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and Wilson turned over the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} in relief for the chop pot.

There was some discussion at the table from the other players at the length of time it took Wilson to call. "He is never bluffing there" said Wilson as he took in his half of the pot.
