Showdown Pot for Brewer

Level 17 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Robert Campbell raised to 35,000 in the cutoff and Daniel Negreanu jammed for 420,000 in the big blind. Campbell folded and Negreanu said he didn't need any cards. Once Campbell revealed what he folded, Negreanu replied "You were drawing live but drawing nonetheless."

Dan Cates then raised to 40,000 on the button in the next hand and Chris Brewer called in the big blind. Both drew two cards and Brewer bet 15,000, which Cates called. The {10-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{3-} of Brewer claimed the pot.

Level 17 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Roman Yitzhaki
Roman Yitzhaki

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Roman Yitzhaki pushed all-in for 365,000 on the button and Ryan Leng asked for a count to then reluctantly call. Both players decided to draw one card and exposed their cards.

Roman Yitzhaki: {9-}{8-}{4-}{2-}
Ryan Leng: {9-}{8-}{5-}{3-}

Leng went first and peeled the {4-} to make a nine-eight. Yitzhaki had some outs but paired the {4-} to finish in 12th place. The money bubble has now been reached and for each hand played, two minutes will be taken off the clock.

Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Limit Hold'em

Nick Schulman raised from the cutoff and was called by Mike Wattel in the big blind.

Wattel checked to Schulman on the {7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop and Schulman bet. Wattel then check-raised and Schulman called.

Wattel continued on the {k-Spades} turn and Schulman again called.

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board and Wattel check-called a bet from Schulman.

Schulman tabled {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for quad fours and Wattel mucked — conceding the pot to Schulman.

Leng Soars Past Three Million

Level 17 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Ryan Leng raised to 40,000 and was called by Roman Yitzhaki in the big blind. On the {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop, Yitzhaki check-called a bet of 50,000 and the {q-Clubs} fell on the turn. It was checked to Negreanu and he bet for 180,000 to win the pot.

One hand later, Leng opened to 40,000 again and was called by three opponents. The {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop was checked to Chris Brewer on the button and he bet 85,000. Robert Campbell was among those to fold and Leng then checked the stack of Brewer before check-raising the pot. Brewer snap-folded and the pot was sent to Leng.

Soon after, Negreanu raised and Roman Yitzhaki defended. The {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop saw a bet of 30,000 by Yitzhaki, Negreanu raised the pot and Yitzhaki folded.

Jesse Klein

Razz

Josh Arieh: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{q-}{10-}
Jesse Klein: {x-}{x-}/{k-}{5-}{7-}

Josh Arieh completed and was called by Jesse Klein.

Klein called a bet from Arieh on fourth and then led out on fifth. Arieh raised to put Klein all in and Klein called.

Arieh's hole cards and board completed with a {8-}{5-}{10-}{2-} for a ten-low, while Klein's hold cards and board completed with a {6-}{6-}{2-}{q-} — leaving Klein second-best and eliminating him from the tournament.

Leng Leaves Klein Short

Level 17 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Ryan Leng raised in the cutoff and was called by Jesse Klein in the big blind.

Klein check-called bets from Leng on the {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop and {2-Clubs} turn, but both players checked on the {9-Clubs} river.

Leng tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, which was good against the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} of Klein for the scoop — leaving Klein with about 200,000 left.

Up and Down for Glantz

Level 17 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Nick Schulman raised to 30,000 on the button and was called by Matt Glantz in the big blind. On the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Glantz check-called for 25,000 and then led the {8-Clubs} turn for 75,000. Schulman folded and Glantz soared past 2 million in chips.

Omaha Hi-Lo

Daniel Negreanu was then involved on the button, Matt Glantz limped the small blind and Chris Brewer checked the option in the big blind. On the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, all three players stuck around with a bet and Glantz bet the {2-Hearts} turn, only Brewer called. Glantz then bet the {4-Hearts} river and Brewer raised. A reluctant call by Glantz followed and Brewer scooped it with the {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}.
