Brewer Cracks Aces to Double

Level 17 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Chris Brewer
Chris Brewer

No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu and Chris Brewer tangled in a preflop all-in with the latter at risk for 460,000 with the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Negreanu had that crushed with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} but Brewer nailed a set on the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades} runout.

Negreanu stormed out of his seat, used a tirade of swear words as seen on his online poker live streams and then sat back down after the initial outburst had subsided.

Action was picked up on the river with approximately 400,000 chips in the pot on a board that read {4-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Campbell checked to Arieh, who bet 375,000.

Campbell went deep into the tank, with the bet representing about half of his remaining stack.

Ultimately, Campbell folded to preserve his chips with the bubble fast approaching.

Cates Shows Yitzhaki The Nuts

Level 17 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Catching up after the first draw, Roman Yitzhaki was in the big blind and check-called a bet from Dan Cates, who was on the button.

Both players drew one and Yitzhaki again check-called a bet from Cates.

The two drew one each on the final draw and this time, Yitzhaki led out for a bet. Cates raised and Yitzhaki called.

"I have the nuts," said Cates as he tabled {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for a wheel. Yitzhaki mucked and Cates scooped the pot.

Matt Glantz
Matt Glantz

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Matt Glantz is the latest to make a push for the chip lead after a big pot with Chris Brewer and Nick Schulman.

Glantz raised in early position and was three-bet by Brewer on the button. Schulman then called from the small blind, and Glantz then four-bet, with both his opponents calling.

Schulman drew two, Glantz took one, and Brewer took two.

Schulman then checked to Glantz, who bet, with both his opponents calling.

The draws then went one for Schulman, one for Glantz, and still two for Brewer.

This time Schulman led out and was raised by Glantz. Brewer folded his hand, and Schulman called.

Schulman and Glantz then each drew one, with Schulman checking to Glantz.

Glantz also checked and said, "Nine-seven", as he showed {9-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}. Schulman tossed his cards into the muck, awarding the large pot to Glantz.

Zinno Very Short; Negreanu Gets Scooped by Schulman

Level 17 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu: {x-}{x-} / {3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} / {x-}

Anthony Zinno bet fourth and was called by Chris Brewer while Daniel Negreanu check-called. Negreanu check-called another bet by Zinno on fifth and Brewer stuck around as well. They checked sixth and seventh was checked to Brewer, who bet. Only Negreanu called and mucked when Brewer tabled the {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-} for a pair of queens and eight-six low.

Nick Schulman: {x-}{x-} / {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} / {x-}

Negreanu then bet fifth and sixth to earn a call and also bet seventh. Schulman now raised and Negreanu called to get shown {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} by Schulman.

Level 17 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
