Jacobson Flushes Garles for Double

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

A series of preflop raises saw 2014 WSOP Main Event Champion Martin Jacobson 72,000 stack in the middle from the small blind against Tim Garles from middle position.

Martin Jacobson: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Tim Garles: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Garles was ahead with his made hand of tens until the the {5-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Spades} flop hit the felt giving Jacobson the nut flush.

The {4-Diamonds} turn left Garles drawing dead and the {8-Hearts} river secured Jacobson the double.

Garles was left with 9,000 chips afterwards and was eliminated shortly after.

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Dannah Kamp
Dannah Kamp

PokerNews own Dannah Kamp, who recently finished 13th in the Monster Stack event is back and building towers at a tough table with several large stacks, including high-stakes crusher Adrian Mateos.

In a recent pot, Kamp opened to 33,000 from early position and got called by Mateos in the big blind.

After Mateos checked an {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop, Kamp continued for 40,000 and got a fold from Mateos.

Kamp currently has the biggest stack at the table, but there are plenty of large stacks around her, all hovering around the 500,000 chip mark.

Psallidas Wins Huge Flip

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

A mountain of chips was just pushed to Constantinos Psallidas following a massive preflop all-in and call.

Psallidas raised in early position to 21,500 and was three-bet by his opponent to 85,000 on the button.

Psallidas then moved all-in for a little under 230,000 and got called.

Constantinos Psallidas: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The {5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board ran out safely for his opponent until a magical {a-Clubs} dropped on the river, giving Psallidas a huge double up.

Admon Busts a Player, Laughs at Play

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Salim Admon raised under-the-gun to 18,000 with {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and laughed as he was forced to call when a short stack with barely more chips than his raise moved all-in.

He turned over his hand and was up against {10-}{10-}. The board would run out lucky for Salim as it came {7-}{3-}{9-}{q-}{a-}, giving him a better pair. He won the pot and then his tablemates razzed him about opening hands under-the-gun with queen-high.
