Dan Colpoys Eliminated in 23rd Place ($2,433)

Level 22
Dan Colpoys
Dan Colpoys

Action on third street saw Dan Colpoys complete and Carol Fuchs call. On fourth street, Colpoys bet, Fuchs raised, Colpoys put in a third bet and Fuchs called. On fifth street, the duo got the rest of Colpoys' money in with raises back and forth until Colpoys was all-in.

Dan Colpoys: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Carol Fuchs: {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Colpoys was in rough shape. On sixth street, Fuchs drew the {3-Spades} to improve her low, and Colpoys couldn't improve his high or low draw, to eliminate him from the tournament.

Chip Jett Eliminated in 24th Place ($3,773)

Level 22

Chip Jett: {x-}{x-}/{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}/{x-}
Joseph Kupresanin: {x-}{x-}/{4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades}/{x-}
Dan Colpoys: {x-}{x-}/{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}/{x-}

Chip Jett, Joseph Kupresanin, and Dan Colpoys went three-way to fourth street. Colpoys bet, Jett raised, Kupresanin called the raise, then Colpoys re-raised.

Both Jett and Kupresanin called, then called another bet from Colpoys on fifth. Colpoys bet again on sixth, then all three players checked on seventh.

Kupresanin showed {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a low, Colpoys had {k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for kings up, while Jett had two aces in the hole and angrily threw them into the muck as Kupresanin and Colpoys split the massive pot.

Left with around 50,000, Jett was eliminated on the next hand in a pot split between Carol Fuchs and Jeffrey Mitseff.

Friedman Scoops Five-Way Pot With...Fours?!

Level 22
Perry Friedman
Perry Friedman

A huge pot just developed with Perry Friedman the beneficiary in an almost unbelievable way.

Perry Friedman: {x-}{x-}/{4-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}/{x-}
Eric Crain: {x-}{x-}/{8-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} - folded
Sean Yu: {x-}{x-}/{q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}/{x-}
Joseph Ranciato: {x-}{x-}/{3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} - folded
John Monnette: {x-}{x-}/{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades} - folded

After fifth street, the pot was heads-up between Friedman and Yu, with Friedman betting fifth and sixth street and Yu calling. On seventh, the action was checked through.

Friedman sheepishly showed {4-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for nothing more than a pair of fours, which somehow was good enough to scoop the huge pot.

Charles Sinn: {x-}{x-}/{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}/{x-}

Peder Berge and Charles Sinn were part of a four-way pot that went to fifth street. Berge bet and only Sinn called. Berge bet again on sixth and seventh, with Sinn calling him down.

Berge showed {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a straight and Sinn angrily tossed his cards into the muck. Sinn was still shaking his head in disbelief over losing this pot several minutes later.

Hoang's Flush Takes Out Martin

Level 21

David Martin: {x-}{x-}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}/{x-}
John Hoang: {x-}{x-}/{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}/{x-}

David Martin bet on fourth street, then called when John Hoang raised. Both players checked on fifth, then Martin bet on sixth and Hoang called.

Martin bet again on seventh, Hoang raised, and Martin went all in for 4,000. Hoang called with {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a flush. Martin showed {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{x-}, finishing with a defeated two pair.

Seth Perlman was eliminated at the same time on another table, bringing the field down to the final three tables.

Gamble Catches Bad Versus Taylor

Level 21

Nathan Gamble: {x-}{x-}/{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}/{x-}
Esther Taylor: {x-}{x-}/{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}/{x-}

Nathan Gamble and Esther Taylor built a big pot heading to seventh street when Taylor put out another bet. "I caught the worst possible card," Gamble said, picking up his three hole cards and riffling through them.

"I didn't raise on a draw," Taylor responded.

Gamble eventually took his cards and used them to push his chips toward Taylor, conceding the pot.
