Reid Misses Everything Against Yeh

Level 17

Andrew Yeh: {x-}{x-}/{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs}/{x-}
Jermaine Reid: {x-}/{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}/{x-}

Jermaine Reid put out bets on fifth, sixth, and seventh streets. Andrew Yeh, sitting with his yellow 1,000 laid out like a bridge in front of him, called each bet.

"I missed, the high and the low," Reid said, showing {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Yeh had {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a pair of jacks to win the pot off the start-of-day chip leader.

Orlov's Aces Leave Moncek Short

Level 16

Alexandr Orlov: {x-}{x-}/{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}/{x-}
Michael Moncek: {x-}{x-}/{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}/{x-}

A pot of around 50,000 had developed on sixth street between Alexandr Orlov and Michael Moncek when Orlov put in another bet. Moncek called after some thought, then both players checked on seventh.

Orlov turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{x-} for aces in the hole to go with his pair of sixes showing as Moncek mucked to surrender the big pot.

One Outer For Watson

Level 16
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Mike Watson has seen his stack consistently rise through the start of the day, and he's just hit the 300,000 chip mark after a recent hand.

Watson's opponent Christopher Holden was all-in and ahead on fifth street.

Christopher Holden: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Mike Watson: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

Holden's queens and deuces were well in the lead, and he picked up the {j-Clubs} on sixth street, leaving Watson dead to the {j-Spades}.

But the Canadian star drilled the magical card on seventh street, while Holden couldn't improve his hand and was eliminated from the tournament.

Kupresanin Leaves Gabrelians, Aronesty Fuming

Level 16

Joseph Kupresanin: {x-}{x-}/{7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}/{x-}
Emin Gabrelians: {x-}{x-}/{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}/{x-}
Joe Aronesty: {x-}{x-}/{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs}/{x-}

Emin Gabrelians had a pair of eights showing and checked on seventh street. Joseph Kupresanin bet and Joe Aronesty called. "This is a bad call, but it's a big pot," Gabrelians said before he also called.

"Two pair," Gabrelians announced.

"I have a better two pair," Aronesty said.

"Trips," Kupresanin countered, showing {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for trip sixes and a low to scoop the pot. Gabrelians slammed his cards into the muck in anger.

"They're just giving it to you," he told Kupresanin, still fuming after dropping that big pot.

Brownstein Takes From Taylor

Level 16
Esther Taylor
Esther Taylor

Esther Taylor has seen her stack slide a bit to start the day, including in a recent hand with Peter Brownstein.

Taylor faced a bet on seventh street, with their boards reading,

Esther Taylor: {x-}{x-}/{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}/{x-}
Peter Brownstein: {x-}{x-}/{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}/{x-}

Taylor made the call to see Brownstein turn over {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for trip fives, which was good enough to scoop the pot.
