Monnette Rebuilds Through Littlefield, Morris

Level 13
John Monnette
John Monnette

John Monnette recently saw his stack slide into the danger zone, but a couple of timely pots have him healthy again.

In a pot picked up on sixth street versus Shane Littlefield, Monnette bet and got called by Littlefield with their boards as follows:

John Monnette: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{8-}{j-}{6-}/{x-}
Shane Littlefield: {x-}{x-}/{q-}{3-}{9-}{2-}/{x-}

Action on seventh street was checked through, and Monnette showed {10-}{9-}{3-} in the hole for nine-eight-six. Littlefield said he had a nine-eight-seven, and tossed his cards into the muck.

Shortly after, Monnette was seen pulling more chips toward his stack courtesy of Nicolai Morris, which has boosted his stack back over 150,000.

Vince Vaughn

Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn, the star of Swingers, Old School, Wedding Crashers, and Dodgeball, was recently announced as the "Master of Ceremonies" for the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Yesterday, he gave the traditional "shuffle up and deal" announcement at the final table of the WSOP Main Event, and on Wednesday he returned for several other promotional endeavors. Once finished, he took the opportunity to enter his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet tournament, Event #79: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty where every Poker Hall of Famer had a bounty on their head.

While not a member of the PHoF, Vaughn, too, had a target on his back as Jack Effel revealed the WSOP was putting a $10,000 bounty on the actor, much to the delight of players sat with him at Table 2 in the Brasilia Room.

How did he do? Find out here!

Dzivielevski Takes a Chunk From Hellmuth

Level 12

Action was picked up on fifth street, with Yuri Dzivielevski betting into Phil Hellmuth.

Hellmuth called, then called another bet on sixth street, before facing a final bet on seventh.

Their boards read:

Yuri Dzivielevski: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{k-}{3-}{2-}/{x-}
Phil Hellmuth: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{9-}{10-}{5-}/{x-}
