The final week of the 2021 World Series of Poker is in full swing as Event #85: $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed will be the last of its kind and is set to begin at 3 p.m. local time this afternoon.
Last year’s event saw Alan Sternberg navigate his way through an 835-entry field during a four-day time span to capture his first-ever bracelet along with $448,392.

This year’s edition of the tournament will give players a 40,000 starting stack which is double the amount from the previous. There are 10 one-hour levels on the schedule for the day with 15-minute breaks occurring at the end of every two levels.
As usual for 3 p.m. starting times on Day 1, there will be no dinner break. One re-entry is allowed and late registration will be open until the completion of the break at the end of Level 8, around midnight local time.

There was heads-up action between Joao Simao from the small blind and Giorgiy Skhulukhiya from the big blind.
With a completed board of showing, Simao led out with a pot sized 4,000 bet and Skhulukhiya called.
Simao rolled over for a full house and Skhulukhiya quickly mucked his hand.

Ausmus continued for 1,000 and only Karel Mokry called form the button.
After the fell on the turn, Ausmus led out for an uncontested 3,000 to win the pot.

Jacco Hester raised to 700 from the button and Scott Ball defended his big blind top see a flop.
Action went check-check and the fell on the turn. Ball led out for 1,700 and Hester called bringing the on the river.
With a paired board, Ball continued with his aggression and fired out a 6,000 uncontested bet to win the pot.
