Dan Smith raised to 210,000 in the cutoff and was called by Adrian Mateos in the small blind. The flop came and both players checked to the on the turn.
Mateos led out with a bet of 450,000 and Smith called to see the on the river. Mateos pushed out a stack of around 2,000,000 which made Smith perk up in his seat. Smith counted his stack as he burned through a couple of time banks before eventually calling off his stack of around 1,540,000.
Smith flipped over as he called but Mateos showed for a better two pair to eliminate Smith, bringing the field down to just one table.
Ben Heath raised to 180,000 on the button and Seth Davies re-raised to 580,000 from the small blind. Heath called and the flop of hit the felt. Davies continued for 325,000 and Heath called.
The turn was the and both players checked to the on the river. Davies led out with a bet of 600,000 and Heath shoved all in which prompted a quick fold from Davies.
On the next hand, John Kincaid raised to 205,000 on the button and David Peters called from the small blind. The flop came and Peters checked to Kincaid who bet 305,000. Peters check-raised to 930,000 and Kincaid called.
The paired the board on the turn and Peters led out with a bet of 1,400,000. Kincaid used one of his time banks but decided to let his hand go.
Stephen Chidwick opened to 160,000 on the button and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 480,000 in the small blind. Daniel Negreanu just flat-called in the big blind and Chidwick folded.
The flop came and both players checked to the on the turn. Mateos checked again and Negreanu threw in a bet of 350,000 which Mateos called.
The landed on the river and Mateos checked one more time. Negreanu counted out a bet of 675,000 and Mateos check-raised all in for 1,255,000. Negreanu appeared disturbed and burned through three of his time extensions before calling.
Mateos flipped over for a full house while Negreanu mucked his while passing over a double up.
David Peters opened to 180,000 in the cutoff and Ben Heath three-bet to 800,000 in the small blind. The action was back on Peters who asked Heath how much he started with. Within the allotted 30 seconds, Peters announced all in and Heath quickly sent his cards to the muck.
When the hand was over, Peters' phone made an odd sound. "Is that what happens when you win?" the dealer joked.
Peters, occupied with his phone, replied "No, my phone auto-dialled 9-1-1."
