Matusow Loses Early Pot

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

A player in early position opened to 2,000 and Mike Matusow called in the cutoff, as did the button. James Duncan in the small blind then three-bet to 7,400 and only Matusow called.

Duncan continued with a bet of 6,000 on the flop reading {2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Matusow called. Duncan fired a bet of 11,000 on the {5-Spades} turn and Matusow stared at his opponent before electing to fold.

"Nice hand," Matusow said quietly.
