Billy Bailey

With around 26,000 chips in the middle, Avi Cohen checked to Billy Bailey on the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} board. Bailey put in a bet of 11,000. Cohen went deep in the tank, trying to decide what to do. Eventually, Cohen folded and Bailey tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for king-high.

Wahba Tripples Up

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The action was picked up on a board that read {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Mark Wahba all in from the small blind for 12,500. He was called by an opponent in middle position and also by an opponent in the hijack.

The river was the {10-Spades}. The action checked to the player in the hijack who bet 10,000 and was called by the player in middle position. All three players tabled their hands.

Mark Wahba: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Middle Position: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Hijack: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Wahba flopped a set of sevens which remained the best hand by the river and he trippled up.

The player in middle position scooped a small side pot with a higher two pair than her opponent.

Sigman Wins Two Out of Three Hands

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Tyler Sigman and Daniel Reijmer, the former bet the {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades} river for 15,000. Reijmer called but mucked when Sigman tabled the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for broadway.

Sigman then raised to 1,500 from under the gun and Fabian Quoss defended the big blind. The {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop was checked by Quoss, who then faced a bet worth 2,000 and check-raised to 6,500. Sigman tossed in the additional chips and then let go on the {4-Hearts} turn when Quoss bet 14,000.

In the very next hand, Sigman three-bet to 3,500 in the big blind and the initial raiser pushed his short stack for 9,500 with the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Sigman snap-called with the {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and dealt the final blow on a {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} runout.

The Champ is Still Here

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Tom McEvoy
Tom McEvoy

Poker Hall of Famer Tom McEvoy posited a theory to table #454 in the Amazon Purple section.

"I think I have played in more Main Events than this entire table combined," the 1983 Main Event champion said.

McEvoy explained that he has played in 37 Main Events. One player polled the table to get an official answer.

One by one the players rattled off their Main Event tally.

10...8...6...1...2...8...2...7

The table seemed to come up with a consensus total of 44 Main Events among the other eight players.

More than McEvoy, but not by much.
