Beshwaty Secures Back-to-Back Doubles; Eldar Left With Pebbles

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Alon Eldar
Alon Eldar

Hand #1

There was three-way action with {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts} board showing with 8,000 in the middle when Charles Beshwaty check-jammed for 7,000 from the small blind after the button player led out for 2,000.

After the big blind folded, the button player called and both players tabled their hands.

Charles Beshwaty: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Beshwaty was ahead after flopping top-set and the {2-Hearts} river secured his double-up.

Hand #2

In the very next hand, there was four-way action that saw {7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} flop after an initial 1,000 raise and action was checked to Alon Eldar who led out for 1,400 from the hijack and Beshwaty three-bet to 4,500.

Action folded back to Elder who three-bet all in and Beshwaty called off his 21,800 stack.

Charles Beshwaty: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Alon Eldar: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Eldar flopped a set while Beshwaty flopped top two-pair and the {j-Diamonds} turn gave him more outs with a gutsot straight draw.

Beshwaty held outs going to the river and luckily for him, the {10-Clubs} completed the board keeping his Main Event run alive.

Yanovski's Opponent Surrenders the Pot

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Three players, including Leonid Yanovski in the small blind, put in 3,000 on a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. The turn came {k-Hearts} and Yanovski and the big blind checked before a player in early position bet 6,600. Only Yanovski called.

Yanovski checked again on the {k-Clubs} river and his opponent paused for a moment before checking behind.

"Straight," Yanovski said, turning over {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. His opponent tapped the felt and mucked.

"On the river I definitely wasn't calling," Yanovski said after the hand.

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Shahbaz Gets There

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Kayvon Shahbaz walked PokerNews through a massive hand he was in where he stacked an opponent.

Facing a late-position open and a flat-call, Shahbaz three-bet to 3,500 in the big blind to get to hand heads-up.

Shahbaz led out with a bet of 4,000 on the flop reading {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and called when his opponent raised to 10,000.

Shahbaz checked on the {q-Clubs} turn and his opponent fired a bet of 29,000. Shahbaz ripped in the rest of his stack and the opponent called.

Shahbaz had {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for a set of queens but was behind the straight of his opponent with {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. But the river brought the {3-Diamonds} to pair the board and give Shahbaz a boat to win the massive pot.
