Tensions are High Early

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Richard Lee opened to 50,000 in the cutoff and Keith Lehr stuck in a three-bet to 165,000 on the button. Hye Park was in the big blind and took a couple of minutes before sliding out a four-bet to 425,000.

The action was back on Lee who was thinking for a little over a minute before Lehr called the clock. Tristan Wade tried to step in the middle and offer Lee some time to think but Lehr held firm that he wanted the clock called.

With the clock started, Lee opted to fold and Lehr quickly mucked his hand as well. "I'm going to keep calling the clock if hands take this long," Lehr pointed out.

Wong Gets Some Value from Lowery

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Daniel Lowery raised it up from middle position and was called by George Wong in the big blind. The flop came {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Wong check-called a bet of 75,000 from Lowery.

The turn brought the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {4-Clubs} on the river. Wong threw in a bet of 100,000 and Lowery quickly looked him up. Wong tabled {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for two pair and Lowery conceded.

Thomsen Among the Early Casualties

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

The cards were already turned over when Chad Thomsen was at risk with the {q-Spades}{j-Spades} and was looked up by Clifford Conners with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The superior hand prevailed on the {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board as Conners turned the nut flush to eliminate Thomsen, who had flopped top pair.

Joseph Marincola has also been eliminated as well.

Vaizman Gets Value From Chen

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

With about 180,000 in the pot and a flop of {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}, Moshe Vaizman in the big blind, an early position player, and Pete Chen in the hijack all checked to the turn.

The {3-Spades} came on the turn and Vaizman led for 85,000. Only Chen continued.

The {6-Spades} completed the board and Vaizman bet 90,000. Chen called and Vaizman showed the {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to take the pot as Chen mucked.

Halverson Eliminates Liberto, Doubles Through Lipkin

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Justin Liberto
Justin Liberto

Justin Liberto opened from under the gun and Mitchell Halverson three-bet in the cutoff. Mitchell Halverson then four-bet on the button and Liberto moved all-in for around 239,000. Halverson also moved all-in for 1,755,000 and Lipkin called with both opponents covered.

Justin Liberto: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Mitchell Halverson: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Robert Lipkin: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop of {9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} gave both Liberto and Halverson sets with the latter player having the best of it with aces. Halverson maintained the best hand and more than doubled up as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, eliminating Liberto in the process.

"Great start," Lipkin mumbled after losing more than half of his stack.

Rivered Two Outer Saves Painter

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Clement Van Driessche raised to 52,000 from under the gun and Jean-Luc Adam called from middle position. Jameson Painter, a mixed games specialist and bracelet winner, shoved all in for 592,000 from the cutoff. Van Driessche came over the top to fold out Adam.

Jameson Painter: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Clement Van Driessche: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Van Driessche, with the bigger stack, caught the {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop to put Painter in a massive hole. Two outs remained after the {4-Diamonds} on the turn and one of them, the {9-Diamonds}, popped up on the river to save Painter's Main Event run.

Cabrera Wanted Dos Santos Silva to Bluff

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

The board read {9-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts} with over 500,000 in the middle already.

David Cabrera had checked from the middle position but Frederico Dos Santos Silva bet 355,000 from the late position. Cabrera took some time and then called.

The river completed the board with the {3-Spades} and Cabrera checked for the final time. Dos Santos Silva contemplated for a bit but checked too.

Cabrera tabled the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for the full house for Dos Santos Silva to sigh with relief.

"Ace-queen bluff!" Come on! Why didn't you bluff?!" Cabrera said with a big smile on his face.

Dos Santos Silva was visibly happy and huffed a few times before responding: "I feel really smart for checking that river."

Hagstrom Wins Some Off Ragozzini

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Two players saw a flop of {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} with Sean Ragozzini checking from under the gun. Jonas Hagstrom bet 40,000 from the cutoff. Ragozzini check-raised to 130,000 and Hagstrom called.

Both players checked the {2-Diamonds} turn and the {9-Diamonds} river for Ragozzini to table the {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Hagstrom had that beat with {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and that won the pot.

Hagstrom Takes Out Harris

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

The action folded around to the blinds and Jonas Hagstrom raised it from the small blind. Jameel Harris shipped all in from the big blind and Hagstrom quickly called.

Jameel Harris: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Jonas Hagstrom: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Hagstrom held a commanding lead and the flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} left it that way. Neither the turn or the river would provide help for Harris who was sent to the payout desk.
