Volpe Eliminated by Ramos

Level 15
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Big O

On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Paul Volpe led from the big blind and was raised the size of the pot by Felipe Ramos on the button.

Volpe put in the rest of his stack and was at risk.

Paul Volpe: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Felipe Ramos: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}

Volpe's flush draw was nullified by Ramos' nut flush draw, but he still had plenty of straight outs against Ramos' two pair.

The turn {6-Clubs} and river {3-Spades} brought Volpe no help and filled up Ramos to bring the field down to 21 before break.

Ramos Doubles Through Volpe

Level 15

Big O

The cards were already on their backs as Felipe Ramos was all-in for the last 68,000 and he was up against Paul Volpe on the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop with Ramos betting the pot and then calling all-in.

Felipe Ramos: {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Paul Volpe: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}

The board completed with the {9-Clubs} turn and the {3-Diamonds} river for Ramos to make two pair and a low in order to secure the full double.

Galfond Eliminated Before the Money

Level 15
Phil Galfond
Phil Galfond

Badacey

Jeff Madsen won a "fun hand" against Nacho Barbero when the bets went in throughout all drawing rounds and Barbero sigh-folded after the final draw.

In the meanwhile, both Mike Matusow and Phil Galfond were left very short on the same table and it was then Galfond who was essentially at risk before the first draw from the button for 38,000 in total against Jordan Siegel.

Siegel took two on the first draw and Galfond three, both then discarded one each on the final two draws.

Siegel rolled over the {8-Hearts} / {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for a Nine-Dugi with a ninety-eight while Galfond previously had four diamonds in his hand and slightly improved, showing the {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. He was drawing dead for the high pot and the {k-Clubs} also bricked the second portion of the pot as well to knock out Galfond before the money.

Johnson Eliminated by Schulman

Level 15
Marco Johnson
Marco Johnson

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Off his remaining 44,000 chip stack, Marco Johnson bet the pot in the cutoff and was re-potted by Nick Schulman on the button.

Johnson moved all in for the rest and Schulman called.

Marco Johnson: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Nick Schulman: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Schulman's aces combined with the nines on the board for a winning two pair to eliminate Johnson and bring the field down to 23 players, four away from the money.

Bojang Escapes From Elimination

Level 15

In a previous Badeucey hand, Anatolii Zyrin put a dent into the stack of Ian O'Hara when his six seven was good enough for the entire pot. Soon after the game type changed and Ismael Bojang got involved with his severe short stack, facing Tuan Le and O'Hara.

Big O

Until the {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades} river, Bojang had kept one single T-1,000 chip behind and O'Hara as well as Le checked it down. O'Hara flashed the {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the busted nut flush draw, while Le exposed {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Bojang had the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} for two pair and chopped with the high hand while Le took the low pot.

Kihara Forces Expensive Fold From Bellande

Level 15

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

With the turn showing {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, Jean-Robert Bellande bet 85,000 from under the gun and Naoya Kihara called in the cutoff. This brought their total investment to 121,000 each until the {4-Spades} river and Bellande now checked. Kihara announced a pot-sized bet of 255,000 and that sent Bellande deep into the tank.

Moments before he folded, Bellande flashed what appeared to be ace-deuce as he feared to get quartered in a big pot and said "fuck me ... mother... that's painful" before he tossed the cards in the muck.

As Kihara was busy stacking the chips, Bellande followed it up with "what the fuck just happened ... guess I have to call there."

Johnson on Fumes After Doubling Schulman

Level 15
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Ben Diebold opened for 10,000 and was three-bet to 35,000 by Marco Johsnon. Nick Schulman then cold-four bet to 80,000.

Diebold folded, but Johnson went all-in for a little more than Schulman's remaining 198,000.

Schulman opted to call and put himself at risk.

Schulman needed to draw one versus Johnson's pat hand which he showed to be {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-}.

Schulman had {7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} and was drawing to a three or five.

He squeezed out a {3-} to win the hand and secure a huge double-up, while leaving Johnson on fumes.

Zyrin Doubles Through O'Hara

Level 15

No-Limit Hold'em

Three ways to the {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} turn with just a small pot until then, Ian O'Hara bet 15,000 out of the small blind and was called by Tuan Le. Anatolii Zyrin then pushed all-in for 81,000 from under the gun and O'Hara tank-called while Le folded.

Anatolii Zyrin: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Ian O'Hara: {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Zyrin's set had already locked up the double and that made the {2-Diamonds} river a formality.

Diebold Wins Larger Pot Off Johnson

Level 15

PLO High

Ben Diebold clashed with Marco Johnson when they both invested the pot on the {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts} turn and then checked down the {4-Spades} river. Both checked this time and Johnson announced kings without showing his cards. Diebold had that beat with the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for queens and fives to take down the seizable pot.

"Ace-king-king with clubs?" Diebold inquired but received no answer.
