Moncek Gets Involved

Level 31 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Michael Moncek had been relatively quiet recently before opening the latest pot from the button.

"I thought you had fallen asleep over there, Michael," Ben Ross said before giving up his small blind.

Christoph Kwon called in the big blind and they saw a flop of {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Kwon check-raised after Moncek bet, and Moncek stuck around to the {5-Hearts} turn.

Kwon bet again and Moncek called. The river came the {a-Clubs} and Kwon checked. Moncek put out a bet and Kwon quickly folded.

"Just Check and They Will Bluff"

Level 31 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Yueqi Zhu raised on the button and Ben Ross defended the big blind.

On the {q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Ross checked to Zhu who continued and Ross splashed in a call.

The {j-Spades} hit the turn and both players quickly checked.

The {a-Diamonds} hit the river and Ross checked to Zhu as he fired in a bet and Ross almost beat him in the pot with a call. Zhu surrendered by mucking his hand. "Just check and they will bluff," Ross said as he dragged the pot.

Zhu On a Roll

Level 31 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Yueqi Zhu raised pre-flop, then called when Christoph Kwon re-raised from the small blind.

Heads-up to the {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop, Kwon bet and Zhu called. Both players checked the {j-Clubs} turn.

Zhu led out when the river came the {j-Hearts} and Kwon called with some hesitation. Zhu turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} for running trips to win the pot.

A few hands earlier, Zhu had won a big pot off Joe McKeehen by calling McKeehen down with a pair of sixes.

Kwon's River Three-Bet Gets Called

Level 31 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Yueqi Zhu raised and Christoph Kwon came along in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Kwon check-called a bet from Zhu.

The {4-Spades} turn was checked by both players to see the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Kwon led out and Zhu raised. Kwon wasted no time putting in a third bet and Zhu went in the tank.

"I know you're capable of bluffing me here," Zhu said to Kwon before tossing the chips into the middle.

Kwon tabled {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for a full house and Zhu pushed his hand into the muck.

Ben Ross opened the pot with a raise before Christoph Kwon three-bet on the button. Small blind Joe McKeehen folded, but Yueqi Zhu in the big blind put in a four-bet. Ross folded but Kwon called

"We could have a big one here," McKeehen said while getting up out of his chair to leave his two tablemates battling alone.

Zhu bet the {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop and Kwon called. The turn came the {j-Diamonds} and Kwon called another bet.

On the {6-Clubs} river, Zhu put in a bet and this time Kwon quickly folded.

Kwon Helps Topple Ross' Stack

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 0 ante

Joe McKeehen raised from middle position before Ben Ross reraised from the small blind. Christoph Kwon called in the big blind, as did McKeehen.

Ross bet on the {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop and only Kwon called. Ross bet again when the turn came the {4-Hearts} and Kwon stuck around to the river.

Ross checked the {5-Hearts} and Kwon put in a bet. "This is so sick," Ross said before flinging in a call.

Kwon showed {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a flush to win the pot. After the hand, Ross knocked over his entire stack in frustration before slowly stacking it back up.

Christoph Kwon raised the cutoff and Michael Moncek called in the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and Moncek check-raised. Kwon called.

The {q-Hearts} fell on the turn and Moncek continued with a bet. Kwon pushed some chips across the line to make the call.

When the {2-Diamonds} hit the river Moncek didn't slow down, tossing in a bet. Kwon tanked for about 30 seconds and made the call.

Moncek tabled {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for busted straight, flush, and straight-flush draws, and Kwon gave a sigh of relief as he showed {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a pair of fours to scoop the pot.

Zhu Turns a Set

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 0 ante

Joe McKeehen raised, then called when Yueqi Zhu re-raised from the cutoff.

McKeehen checked to Zhu on the {2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop and called a bet. He also called on the {8-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river.

Zhu turned over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a set of eights on the turn and McKeehen let out an exasperated sigh before mucking.

"Good hand, sir. I had you on the flop," he said while surrendering the pot.
