Dennis Kim Eliminated in 27th Place ($3,931)

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Dennis Kim
Dennis Kim

David Gee raised under the gun and Lee Markholt three-bet in the cutoff. Dennis Kim put in the fourth bet before Gee called and Markholt capped it with a five-bet. Kim called off 5,000 short and Gee called.

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Gee check-called a bet.

The {6-Diamonds} hit the turn and Gee check-called another bet from Markholt.

The {4-Hearts} landed on the river completing the board and Gee checked to Markholt who fired another bet. Gee paused for a moment before sigh-folding.

Markholt tabled {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for top pair on the flop while Dennis Kim showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Gee quickly reached into the muck and tabled that he had {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} as well. Kim was eliminated in 27th place for $3,931.

Kenny Hsiung
Kenny Hsiung

Fred Lavassani raised from early position and Kenny Hsiung called in the big blind.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Hsiung check-called a bet. Hsiung checked again on the {8-Hearts} and Lavassani bet.

Hsiung this time raised and Lavassani called after some deliberation. "All in dark," Hsiung said heading to the river as he put his last chips in.

The river fell the {j-Clubs} and Lavassani again called after a brief tank.

"Top set," Hsiung announced, turning over {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. He still had some chips left over after his river bet since he had more than the limit but secured the virtual double-up.

"Kenny is the best spinner in the game," tablemate Joe McKeehen said after the hand.

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Ben Ross, Francisco Garzon, and Michael Coombs saw a flop of {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Coombs bet, Ross raised, and Garzon called.

"I have a boat. I was hoping you bet," Ross said, turning over {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a full house. Garzon said he wouldn't have called a bet on the river.

Wolansky Caps the Flop

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

The {7-Hearts} paired the board on the turn and Wolansky's bet was called.

When the {5-Hearts} completed the board Wolansky tossed in another bet and after some hesitation Kooyman put some chips across the line to call. Wolansky tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a full house and Kooyman tapped the table as he mucked his hand.

Cao picked up a straight turn on the turn as the board came {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, but she missed the {3-Spades} river and headed for the payout desk.

"I bet you were wishing for no ten," a tablemate told Tayi as he stacked up Cao's chips.

The {2-Diamonds} completed the board and Linchesky check-called another bet from Rios. Rios tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a set of tens on the turn and Linchesky sighed as he tabled {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for top pair, top kicker. "I knew I out flopped you."
