Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Scott Pollard
Scott Pollard

Pedro Rios raised in the hijack and Michael Lipner three-bet the cutoff before Scott Pollard four-bet in the small blind. Both Rios and Lipner called.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} and Pollard jammed for his last 15,000 and Rios completed to 30,000 before Lipner called, creating a side pot.

The {2-Hearts} landed on the turn and Rios continued to bet, forcing Lipner out of the hand.

Scott Pollard: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Pedro Rios: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Pollard was going to need to hit his gutshot straight draw but the {3-Hearts} landed on the river, ending his tournament run in 19th place for $4,629.

Anthony Zinno defended his big blind from a raise by Francisco Garzon and saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Zinno led out and Garzon raised.

"Alright boys, good luck," Zinno said as he moved all in while getting up from his seat. He showed {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and was up against Garzon's {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and the four-time bracelet winner exited in 20th place.

Dave Tobin
Dave Tobin

Dave Tobin was all in before the flop and up against Kenny Hsiung.

Dave Tobin: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Kenny Hsiung: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

"That's a good flop for deuces," Joe McKeehen said as the dealer turned over {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, followed by the {5-Spades} on the turn. The river came the {q-Clubs} and the dealer prepared to award the pot to Tobin before the table pointed out that Hsiung had made a flush.

Tobin, a cigar dangling from his mouth, wished the table luck before heading off to collect his 21st-place payout for the second consecutive year.

Hsiung Making a Comeback

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Venkata Tayi raised from early position before Kenny Hsiung re-raised from the button. Tayi called to go heads-up to the {4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop.

Tayi checked to Hsiung, who continued with a bet and was called. Tayi check-called again on the {3-Hearts} turn before Hsiung bet the {a-Diamonds} river.

"Ace-queen got there," Tayi asked while pondering the decision.

"Is ace-queen good? I wish I had ace-queen," Hsiung answered.

Tayi eventually called and Hsiung showed {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for the rivered pair of aces to win the pot.

Moncek Smash's River to Leave Linchesky Short

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Michael Moncek
Michael Moncek

Robert Linchesky raised on the button and both Ben Ross and Michael Moncek called in the blinds.

On the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, Ross and Moncek checked to Linchesky who bet. Ross called and Moncek put in a three-bet. Linchesky four-bet and Ross got out of the way before Moncek capped it and Linchesky called.

The {j-Clubs} peeled on the turn and Moncek snap-bet. Linchesky went into the tank.

"Did you really just hit a two-outer on me?"

After a little more deliberation Linchesky raised and Moncek called off his stack of 90,000 total.

Michael Moncek: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Robert Linchesky: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Linchesky was ahead with his pocket kings but the {a-Hearts} on the river completed Moncek's flush draw and left him with only 10,000 in chips.

Kenny Hsiung

After losing a few pots Kenny Hsiung had found himself short-stacked and after a series of raises before the flop he was at risk for 120,000 against Fred Lavassani.

Kenny Hsiung: {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Fred Lavassani: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Hsiung was looking to out flop Lavassani and he did in a big way as it came {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, giving him trip eights. The {5-Diamonds} turn and {q-Diamonds} river were safe for Hsiung as he doubled up.
