Galen Hall

A-5 Triple Draw

WSOP bracelet winner Galen Hall admits he had never played A-5 or Badugi before this tournament, but that hasn't stopped him from climbing to the top of the leaderboard.

On his last hand, Hall, Lylan Do, Luis Velador, and Max Kruse went four-ways to the first draw. Hall took three, while his opponents all took two.

Everyone checked and took two on the second draw. Action checked to Kruse on the button who bet and only Hall called.

Both players took one and Hall led out. Kruse called but mucked when Hall showed {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} to take the pot from the soccer star.

Chait Has Su Beat by One

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Craig Chait re-raised in the small blind and received calls from Joshua Thatcher and big stack Jason Su.

Chait stood pat on all three draws and put out two bets. Su stuck around until the final draw, while Thatcher folded to the first bet.

Both Chait and Su checked after the final draw. Su showed a 10-7 Badugi, but Chait had him beat with a 10-6 to win the sizeable pot and take a chunk off Su's sizeable stack.

Chan Finishes Off Glaser

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Heads-up to the first draw, Benny Glaser stood pat while Ian Chan drew one. Glaser bet, Chan raised, Glaser went all in, and Chan called for the rest.

Chan stood pat on the second draw and Glaser gave the decision some thought before taking two. He took one more on the third draw but finished with a pair of fours as Chan made {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to win the pot and eliminate the four-time bracelet winner.

Kassela Makes "Ugly" Nine to Bust Moore

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Evan Moore was all in on the second draw and up against Frank Kassela and Daniel Strelitz.

"Against an all-in player and a guy drawing dead," Kassela said before betting into Strelitz after the third draw. Strelitz quickly folded and Kassela showed a 9-8 low.

"A dirty, ugly nine," Kassela said, but it was enough to win the pot as Moore mucked and made his way to the exit.
