"Great Summer" for Diebold Continues

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ben Diebold
Ben Diebold

Ben Diebold was all-in for the last 38,000 and up against David Prociak as he finally got his short stack in after more than one hour of play on Day 2.

Ben Diebold: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}
David Prociak: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop and {4-Spades} turn left Diebold on the brink of elimination and potential re-entry but the {k-Diamonds} river improved him to a superior full house.

"It's gonna be a great summer for Ben", Nicholas Julia joked and Diebold immediately replied "it will be a great summer". After paying off his opponent, Prociak sighed and added "I had a good feeling about that one."

Ivey Busts to Smith

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Dylan Smith limped the button, Phil Ivey raised to 16,000 in the small blind, and Smith called.

The dealer spread the {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop, Ivey led for 20,000, and Smith called. On the {3-Diamonds} turn, Ivey check-called for 20,000.

The {5-Hearts} completed the board, Ivey checked, and Smith potted to cover his opponent's stack of approximately 97,000. Ivey thought about it and ultimately put in the chips.

Smith showed {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{x-} to win the pot with the nuts, while Ivey tapped the table, tossed his cards into the muck, and made his exit from the table.

Lyubovetskiy Picks Up Chips From Winter

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Sean Winter opened to 11,000 from early position, Ben Lamb called in the small blind, and Andriy Lyubovetskiy called in the big blind.

The dealer fanned the {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and the blinds checked to Winter who bet 12,000. Lamb folded and Lyubovetskiy continued.

The two players checked the {9-Clubs} turn to the {2-Diamonds} river where Lyubovetskiy led for 60,000. Winter contemplated and called.

Lyubovetskiy revealed {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a straight and collected the chips as Winter mucked.

Ball Busts Boiko in Big Pot

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Heads-up to the {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Scott Ball checked out of the big blind and Iaroslav Boiko on the button made it 40,000 to go. Ball then check-raised for the size of the pot to 160,000 and Boiko called with some 120,000 behind.

After the {9-Diamonds} turn, Boiko instantly moved all-in with the covering stack and Boiko called it off.

Iaroslav Boiko: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Scott Ball: {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Ball only needed to dodge spades and did so thanks to the {a-Hearts} river in order to knock out Boiko.

Brewer Eliminates Opponent

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On a {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, a player in early position was all-in for 66,500, Chris Brewer was all-in on the button for his stack of approximately 200,000, and Christopher Meyers already had two green T-25,000 over the betting line in the big blind and was making a decision. He eventually decided to send his cards into the muck.

Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Chris Brewer: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

The {10-Spades} and {6-Hearts} completed the board to miss all of the draws and keep Brewer in front with his pair of nines, and he chipped up.
