Seidel and Reixach Battle For Big Pot

Level 8 : 5,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Action folded around to Sergi Reixach, who raised 20,000 from the button. Erik Seidel surveyed the pot and his opponent, and raised to 80,000 from the big blind. Reixach gave Seidel a quick look, and called to see a flop.

Seidel continued for another 60,000 with a board of {8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, and Reixach called once more.

Both players checked the {5-Diamonds} on the turn, and saw {j-Clubs} fall on the river.

Seidel pushed in two blue chips for 200,000 and Reixach threw his two blues in one at a time for the call.

Seidel turned over {j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for the flush, and Reixach let his hand find the muck before his cards were seen.

Petrangelo Leaves Elias on Fumes

Level 8 : 5,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

With just under 300,000 in the pot on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades}, Nick Petrangelo led from the small blind and was raised all in by Darren Elias in late position for just over 400,000, which had Petrangelo slightly covered.

Petrangelo called with his tournament life and bounty at risk.

Nick Petrangelo: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Darren Elias: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Petrangelo's aces would have to fade Elias' straight draw and backdoor flush draw, and while Elias paired up on the {10-Clubs} turn, the {a-Hearts} on the river locked up the hand for Petrangelo and left Elias with just 15,000 chips.

Negreanu Shoves, Gets Called

Level 8 : 5,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Brian Rast opened to 35,000 from the cutoff and action folded to Daniel Negreanu in the big blind, who promptly shoved for 400,000. Rast did not appear to be happy at the development but did end up making the call.

Daniel Negreanu: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Brian Rast: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

Negreanu was at risk but had Rast dominated and the Canadian could be heard to say "Rast is bounty hunting me." The board ran out {3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Negreanu made a pair of queens with the better kicker to leave Rast with crumbs.

Bujtas Doubles Through Sammartino

Level 8 : 5,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Cards were on their backs on a {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop after Laszlo Bujtas called off following Dario Sammartino's all-in bet over Bujtas' initial bet.

Laszlo Bujtas: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Dario Sammartino: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

The {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} runout couldn't improve Sammartino, and he lost a sizeable portion of his stack to Bujtas, who approaches the 1,000,000 chip mark.

Elias Flames Out

Level 8 : 5,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Darren Elias had been left with crumbs following a run in with Nick Petrangelo and tossed his remaining 15,000 into the middle. Petrangelo called from the big blind to put Elias at risk.

Darren Elias: {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Nick Petrangelo: {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Elias was drawing live and did improve to a pair on the {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades} board. Sadly for him Petrangelo improved even more to a full house and Elias made a hasty exit from the tournament area.
