Action folded to Adam Friedman on the button, who raised. Denis Nesterenko three-bet out of the small and the big blind folded to send the action back to Friedman, who called.

Nesterenko drew one on the initial draw to Friedman's two. He followed up that draw with a bet, which was called by Friedman.

On the second draw Nesterenko took one for a second time and Friedman again drew two. Nesterenko led into Friedman, who responded with a raise. It was not enough to shed Nesterenko, however, who flatted.

The third and final draw saw both players stand pat. Action went check-check and Friedman showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} to take down the pot and move up over 600,000.

At another table former WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen was seen headed to the payout desk.

Hsiung Dealt a Made Hand

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Georgios Sotiropoulos raised under the gun and was three-bet by Kenny Hsiung one seat over. Action folded back around to Sotiropoulos who called.

On the initial draw Sotiropoulos took two cards while Hsiung stood pat. Sotiropoulos then check-called a bet from Hsiung.

The second draw saw Sotiropoulos take one card and Hsiung again decline to draw. Another check from the Greek was met by a second bet from Hsiung. Sotiropoulos called.

This same drawing pattern was repeated on the final draw and for a third time Sotiropoulos checked to Hsiung, who fired off another bet. Sotiropoulos wasted little time deciding to release his hand and Hsiung revealed that he had been dealt an eight-six, to which one player said, "what a rush!". Given that Hsiung started the day with just 32,000, his Day 2 has, up to this point, been something of a rush.

Elsewhere Allen Kessler was seen departing the tournament area.
