Paul Pulls an Eight to Climb to the Top

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 4,500 ante

Gabe Paul began the day in the top-10 on the chip count leaderboard and has continued rising, being the first to top 400,000 after a recent bustout.

Paul three-bet to 18,000 before the original raiser to his right moved all in for 45,000. Paul called and took one, while the all-in player stood pat.

Paul was up against a nine-six and needed to improve with {7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}. "Wow," the entire table exclaimed as Paul drew an eight on his last card to send another player to the rail.

Rocco Gets Away as Glendinning, Hartzheim Clash

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 4,500 ante

Michael Rocco had raised pre-draw as action folded around to the blinds. In the small blind, Jonathan Glendinning moved all in for 105,000 before big blind Michael Hartzheim re-shoved for his last 64,000.

Rocco spent several minutes in the tank before deciding to fold. Glendinning showed a jack-low, but Hartzheim had woken up with {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} to double up.

Rocco claimed he folded a better hand than Glendinning and would have won the sizeable main pot if he called.

"If you come in, I'll have to break my jack," Glendinning replied.
