Rubinstein Eliminated One Away From the Bubble

Level 15
Donny Rubinstein
Donny Rubinstein

Donny Rubinstein: {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}/{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Ziya Rahim: {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}/{a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Chad Eveslage: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Spades}/{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Brian Hastings: {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}/{x-}{x-}{x-} - folded seventh street
Steven Loube: {x-}{x-}/{4-Spades} - folded bring-in

Donny Rubinstein was all in for his ante and facing three potential executioners in Ziya Rahim, who raised on third street and was called by Brian Hastings and Chad Eveslage. Steven Loube folded his bring-in.

Bets went in on the following streets, with only Eveslage left at showdown, who showed an ace-high flush to beat Rahim's two pair of kings and sixes.

Rubinstein actually made a queen-high flush, but it was the inferior flush to Eveslage, and he was sent to to the rail, setting up hand-for-hand play on the bubble.

Wasserson Takes From the Defending Champ

Level 15

Eric Wasserson: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}/{2-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Brian Hastings: {x-}{x-}{x-}/{a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs}
John Monnette: {x-}{x-}/{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} - folded fourth street

In a three-way limped pot to fourth street, Brian Hastings led out and was raised by Eric Wasserson. John Monnette folded and Hastings called.

On fifth street, now showing three low cards (with an ace), Hastings bet and was called by Wasserson.

Hastings then checked sixth street and called a bet from Wasserson.

On seventh street after checking once more, Hastings faced another bet from Wasserson. He gave his decision some thought, then opted to call, only to see that he was crushed.

Wasserson rolled over two jacks and another king in the hole for a full house of jacks full of kings.

Hastings tossed his cards into the muck as a decent-sized pot was pushed to Wasserson.

Racener Eliminated, Brunson and Bronshtein Chop Up the Chips

Level 15
Todd Brunson
Todd Brunson

John Racener: {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}/{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Todd Brunson: {5-Hearts}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}/{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Yuval Bronshtein: {6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{x-}{x-}

Action picked up after five bets were put in in a three-way pot with John Racener all in on third street.

Brunson bet on fourth street when he hit a king, Bronshtein made the call.

On fifth, Brunson bet again and Bronshtein thought hard with less than two big bets left. He ended up going with his hand and raised. Brunson called.

"Are you rolled up?" asked Bronshtein.

Brunson was, and he ended up with a full house.

Bronshtein hit a low to stay alive while Racener was left with nothing and headed for the rail short of the money.

New Chip Leader Puts Old Chip Leader on Fumes

Level 15
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb: {j-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Spades}/{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Peter Gelencser: {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}/{x-}{x-}{x-}
Brandon Shack-Harris: {x-}{x-}/{2-Diamonds}

After Brandon Shack-Harris brought in and Shaun Deeb raised, Peter Gelencser made it two bets to go. Shack-Harris folded and Deeb called.

Gelencser then check-called fourth street, and after action was checked through on fifth, he faced a bet from Deeb on sixth. Gelencser took a minute to examine his shrinking stack, then called.

On seventh, Gelencser begrudgingly called one final bet to see Deeb show two pair, sixes and deuces with no low. The Day 1 chip leader had to muck his cards as he ceded the pot to the new chip leader as the bubble approaches.

Felipe Ramos: {x-}{x-}/{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs} - folded sixth street

Picking action up on fourth street, Todd Brunson bet and was called by Felipe Ramos.

"Just dealing trips," said Brunson, showing two more fives in the hole as he has rebuilt his short stack to almost 200,000.

Eslami Finally Sent Home in Flurry of Post-Dinner Eliminations

Level 15
Ali Eslami
Ali Eslami

Ali Eslami's run toward the money after coming back from a single chip has fallen short.

He recently left the tournament floor, with his executioner Ziya Rahim, who's working on his own comeback story after being down to less than a big bet on Day 1, telling the tale.

Eslami put in his last 10,000 chips and was raised by Rahim. The rest of the table folded.

Eslami started with {q-}{q-}/{a-} against Rahim's {7-}{3-}/{a-}.

By the time the boards were completed, Rahim had made threes full of aces while Eslami had two pair, aces over fours, sending the $1,500 champion home short of the money.

Andrew Brown and Jason Gola were also eliminated at adjacent tables, bringing the field to a three-table redraw.
