Anthony Zinno

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Mike Wattel: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} / {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Anthony Zinno: {j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} / {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}

Mike Wattel led out on fifth and sixth streets, with Anthony Zinno making the calls. Both players then checked the river, with Wattel seemingly surprised to see his pair of queens hold up as the best hand to scoop the pot.

Cousineau Chips Up

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Razz

Tony Cousineau: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{9-}{q-}{8-} / {x-}

Tony Cousineau bet a favouring board against two opponents, who had a king-high with three low cards and ten-high with a pair of sixes respectively showing. Once they checked seventh, one of the opponents mucked a {5-} for the busted nut draw with a king and Cousineau won the pot with the {10-}{3-}{2-} for a nine.

"This is a great game, can we keep it?" Cousineau said with a big grin on the face while he raked in the pot.

Carlton Continues the Pressure

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Razz

Everett Carlton: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{5-}{2-}{6-} / {x-}
Tom McCormick: {8-}{7-} / {a-}{8-}6x]{3-} / {3-}
Roland Israelashvili: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{q-}{2-}{9-} folded on sixth street

Everett Carlton led out on fifth and sixth streets, finding calls from Tom McCormick but losing Roland Israelashvili along the way. Carlton then bet blind on seventh, so quickly that McCormick did not notice the action was on him.

McCormick turned over his paired three and slid his cards forward, with Carlton picking up a sizeable pot.

Gerhart Scoops With a King in Razz

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Razz

Kevin Gerhart: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{a-}{5-}{6-} / {x-}
Mark Gregorich: {x-}{x-} / {5-}{7-}{4-}{4-} / {x-}

The defending champion Kevin Gerhart check-called on fifth street against Mark Gregorich and they then checked it down on sixth and seventh. Gerhart announced a king and flashed the {a-}{k-}{6-} to win the pot, as Gregorich mucked his cards.

"I don't like to take from friends," he replied in table chat when questioned for the lack of action after fifth street.

Barber Gets Scooped by Ziebarth

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud

Scott Ziebarth: {x-}{x-} / {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} / {x-}
Andrew Barber: {x-}{x-} / {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} / {x-}

On fifth street, John Monnette folded a king-jack high board when facing the bet of Scott Ziebarth and the call from Andrew Barber. Ziebarth bet both remaining streets to pick up a call by Barber and turn over the {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a full house, tens full of nines to drag in a very healthy pot.

Even More Chips for Yockey

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Razz

Bryce Yockey: {x-}{x-} / {j-}{6-}{7-}{k-} / {x-}
Thomas Taylor: {x-}{x-} / {3-}{10-}{5-}{10-} folded on sixth
Qinghai Pan: {x-}{x-} / {k-}{8-}{2-}{6-} / {x-}

Thomas Taylor bet into Qinghai Pan and Bryce Yockey with the favouring board on fifth and then paired his ten on sixth. Pan bet and Yockey called while Taylor folded after some consideration. On seventh, Pan bet again and once Yockey called, he sent the cards into the muck to forfeit the pot.

While Yockey moved near the top of the leaderboard, Pan has dropped below half the starting stack.
