Bojang Flushes Benson

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Ismael Bojang: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Gary Benson: {x-}{x-} / {3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Gary Benson paired his open ace on sixth but was facing trouble as Ismael Bojang had four hearts showing. The Aussie checked and called a bet by Bojang to do so again on seventh street. Bojang rolled over the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for the nut flush and Benson shook his head.

Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Seven Card Stud

Mike Matusow: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades} / {5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Bryce Yockey: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} / {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds} / {x-}

Picking up the action on fifth street right when Jeff Madsen folded to a bet by Mike Matusow, Bryce Yockey called. On sixth street, Yockey had the lead with an ace and check-raised for Matusow to call. Seventh street brought a bet by Yockey and Matusow quickly raised with just a handful of chips behind.

"Take it," Yockey said and mucked his {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for aces and nines alongside a busted nut flush draw. Matusow smashed his cards on the felt and exposed {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades} for sevens full of eights before stacking up the sizable pot.

Mizrachi Fills Up

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Robert Mizrachi: {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Andrew Yeh: {x-}{x-}{x-} / {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}

Andrew Yeh led out on sixth street and was raised by Robert Mizrachi to his right. Yeh made the call and faced a bet from Mizrachi on seventh, sliding in the chips again to make the call.

Yeh then mucked as Mizrachi turned over a full house to take down a nice pot.

Philip Sternheimer
Philip Sternheimer

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

The next two players to bust were Philip Sternheimer and Damjan Radanov as both were out of their seats already. According to other players at the table, Sternheimer had been all-in with aces and nines against an {a-}{2-}{5-}{5-}{6-} of Roland Israelashvili.

Sternheimer had previously teased Israelashvili and was then hit by karma as running cards to a full house for Israelashvili sealed his fate.

Esther Taylor

Seven Card Stud

Esther Taylor: {9-Spades}{7-Spades} / {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} / {6-Hearts}
Robert Mizrachi: {k-Hearts}{a-Spades} / {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds} / {7-Hearts}

"Am I dead yet?" Esther Taylor asked when she was all-in on third street. She picked up quite some equity with a straight and flush draw against the set of queens of Robert Mizrachi but ultimately paired her six to bow out.

Moments later, Tamon Nakamura was spotted on his way out of the tournament area as well to bring the field down to the last 45 players.

Razz

Kyle Montgomery: {6-}{3-} / {4-}{2-}{10-}{q-} / {k-}
Aaron Kupin: {10-}{6-} / {10-}{5-}{8-}{a-} / {3-}

Kyle Montgomery started with a six-low draw until fourth street when he was all-in against Aaron Kupin. However, a rather unreal runout saw him pick up paint all the way and Kupin hit running cards to a superior hand.

"That's just fitting," Montgomery said with a dry smile on the face as he peeled a king.

This brought the field down to the last six tables and Carol Fuchs bowed out at the same time in a Razz hand against Travis Trail.

A Chop and a Double for Aldemir

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

Omaha Hi-Lo

Four ways to the {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, Craig Chait checked in the small blind and Koray Aldemir bet in the big blind out of a short stack. Mike Gorodinsky called from under the gun and Kristijonas Andrulis raised, Chait called and Aldemir went all-in- Gorodinsky tank-folded while Andrulis reraised to 31,000 for Chait to call.

On the {6-Hearts} turn, Chait check-called a bet and did so again on the {8-Diamonds} river. Aldemir tabled the {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for the nut low, which Andrulis also had with the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Chait had the {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a straight and won the high pot.

Aldemir was then all-in after the {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop against Hansu Chu and turned over the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Chu had the {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} and the {2-Hearts} turn as well as {9-Hearts} river improved Aldemir on each street to scoop a double.

Lamb Beats Montgomery in Showdown

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

With several bets already in the middle to the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board, Ben Lamb bet out of the big blind. That sent Kyle Montgomery on the button into the tank and he eventually paid it off. Lamb revealed the {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} for eights full of fours to win the pot, as Montgomery mucked the {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{x-Clubs} face-up.
