Welcome to the opening day of Event #48: $1,500 Eight Game Mix 6-Handed, where the world’s best mixed-game specialists will compete for this prestigious title at the 2022 World Series of Poker in its new home at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas.

Last year’s event saw 484 total entries create a prize pool of $646,140. In the end, Ryan Leng overcame a 10-to-1 chip deficit to defeat Connor Drinan after a long heads-up match to earn $137,969 and his third WSOP gold bracelet.

Players will compete six-handed in an eight-game mix that includes No-Limit Hold’em, Seven Card Stud, Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, Razz, Pot-Limit Omaha, Limit Hold’em, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better, and 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw.

Day 1 is scheduled for fifteen 40-minute levels of play with a 15-minute break every three levels, while late registration closes at the end of Level 9. The game will change every six hands at each table and surviving players will return for Day 2 on Thursday afternoon.
