Heath Doubles Through Hunichen

Level 11 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

The board was {q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Ben Heath checked to Chris Hunichen. With just over 300,000 in the middle already, Hunichen bet 255,000.

Heath check-raised to 725,000 and Hunichen took a minute before moving all in. Heath snap-called.

Ben Heath: {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Chris Hunichen: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Heath had turned a wheel against the top pair of Hunichen. Hunichen could of course still chop with a four, but the {3-Spades} river saw Heath double up.

The pair checked both the flop and turn of {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and the river was the {4-Clubs}. Ivey checked to Lichtenberger who bet 240,000 and Ivey threw his hand into the muck.

Lehne Forces a Fold from Vogelsang

Level 11 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Kathy Lehne raised to 60,000 in middle position and was called by Steven Veneziano on the button and Christoph Vogelsang in the big blind. The flop came {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} and Lehne continued with a bet of 100,000 which only Vogelsang called.

The {k-Spades} landed on the turn and both players checked to the {7-Clubs} on the river. Vogelsang checked once more and Lehne threw in a bet of 300,000. Vogelsang went into the tank for nearly a minute but decided to fold as his time was expiring.

Aces for Oya

Level 11 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Masashi Oya raised to 65,000 from under the gun and Chris Brewer three-bet to 200,000 on his left. The action folded back to Oya who stuck in a four-bet to 425,000. Brewer just called and the dealer fanned the flop of {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Oya led out with a bet of 150,000 and Brewer called to see the {q-Diamonds} on the turn. Oya fired out another bet of 375,000 which Brewer still called.

The {k-Diamonds} completed the board and Oya ripped all in. Brewer instantly flung his cards to the muck and Oya showed his {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for a set of aces.

Oya Double Further Trims Mateos' Lead

Level 11 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Masashi Oya
Masashi Oya

Masashi Oya three-bet all in for 865,000 over an Adrian Mateos open and Mateos called.

The overnight chip leader had earlier bluffed off chips to Nick Petrangelo, but was in good shape here with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} against the {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} of Oya.

The flop {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} gave Oya an open-ended straight draw, and the {a-Clubs} turn completed that straight. Mateos could still hope to chop by hitting one of the remaining tens in the deck, but the river was the {8-Spades} and Oya doubled up.

Mikita Badziakouski

Action was on a {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades} board and Cary Katz had bet 100,000 into a pot of 600,000.

His opponent was Mikita Badziakouski who raised to 500,000 and Katz snap-called and turned over {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Katz's nut flush was good and Badziakouski mucked his cards. He was left with less than ten big blinds and lost them on the very next hand against Aleksejs Ponakovs to bust.

Just Two Pair for Negreanu

Level 11 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu and Martin Kabrhel went heads-up to a flop of {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Negreanu check-called a bet from Kabrhel on the flop. The {10-Clubs} rolled off on the turn and Negreanu checked again.

"What is your kicker, Daniel?" Kabrhel asked but did not get an answer. Kabrhel went on to bet 150,000 and Negreanu called.

The {6-Hearts} completed the board and Negreanu quickly checked. Kabrhel made a bet of 145,000 and Negreanu just called. Kabrhel showed {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} while Negreanu tabled {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for two pair.

"Wow! Just call? You played that awesome," Kabrhel started going off.

"I only had two pair, you could have had a set," Negreanu piped back.

"You got max value. They only let awesome players play in this tournament, I love it." was Kabrhel's final response.
