Oxman Rides Back-to-Back Aces Up the Counts

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Stephen Frakes, aka "Steve the Mover," was spotted heading to the payout desk and related a hand he played against Ari Oxman.

Frakes raised to 125,000 from under the gun before Ari Oxman three-bet to 480,000. Frakes went all in for 1,700,000 and Oxman called with {a-}{a-}. Frakes had ace-king and failed to hit a miracle on the board to bust.

This was the second consecutive hand Oxman had busted an opponent with pocket aces. "The skill isn't getting back-to-back aces. It's getting paid with back-to-back aces," Oxman said as he stacked up nearly 5,000,000.

Buzgon was behind but picked up some more outs as the board came {2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

"Always a sweat," a tablemate said heading to the river, which came {4-Hearts}, safe for Shah to double up and leave Buzgon on a short stack.

Thysell Spikes the Turn

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Picking up the action on a flop of {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, the big blind checked to Will Thysell in middle position who put out a bet of 125,000.

The big blind came back with a raise to 450,000 and Thysell went into the tank, standing up and taking off his sunglasses as he stared down the stack of his opponent.

Thysell eventually announced he was all in for 1,165,000 and the big blind quickly called with {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for two pair. Thysell showed {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for an overpair and a flush draw.

Thysell didn't complete his flush on the turn, but he did hit the {j-Diamonds} to make a set. The {a-Hearts} on the river improved him to a flush and knocked out his opponent, who he had barely covered.
