Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Luke Schwartz
Luke Schwartz

Brandon Cantu's seat was empty and Luke Schwartz was also eliminated moments later in a No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw hand.

According to Michael Mizrachi, Schwartz remarked that he would be dead if Mizrachi made an eight. Mizrachi made a {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and Schwartz hit the rail.

Negreanu Terrifies Room; Doubles Up

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

After Julien Martini raised to 25,000 on the button, Daniel Negreanu moved all in on the small blind for 214,000. Scott Bohlman then called in the big blind and Martini folded.

Out came the vlogging equipment, and Negreanu explained to his camera that he had a tough decision to make with a hand he's seen four or five times. After a couple of minutes, Negreanu opted to break a {10-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-}.

Bohlman showed {10-}{9-}{6-}{4-}{2-}, prompting a gutteral but somewhat light-hearted scream of frustration from Negreanu, knowing he broke the best hand and would need to make a hand.

From several tables over, Adam Friedman playfully commented "everybody duck!"

At another table, Daniel Weinman joked "I feel unsafe."

Negreanu then squeezed his new card which was a three-across, and he happily turned over the {6-Spades}, to make a seven-six to double up and stay alive in the tournament.

Noori Runs Into a Patted Wheel

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

David Williams three-bet to 105,000 preflop out of the small blind and Mike Noori called with what appeared to be some 350,000 behind. Williams patted and Noori took one for Williams to nearly instantly push all-in.

Only very few seconds passed for Noori to call and Williams jumped out of his seat to celebrate with a loud "let's go" while rolling over the {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the wheel. Noori briefly showed his {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-} before quietly leaving the tournament area amid some gasps from the other players at the table.

"Poor Noori, man what the fuck," Matthew Gonzales concluded. He also pointed out that he had previously "finally won against these guys" as well.

Small Pot for Negreanu

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu made it 27,000 to go on the button and Andrew Kelsall defended the big blind. The flop brought {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Kelsall checked for Negreanu to bet 25,000. After a quick fold by Kelsall, Negreanu flashed his cards for a mere second for what appeared to be ace-jack.

Mizrachi Chops With Cates

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Michael Mizrachi: {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} / {2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Dan Cates: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} / {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}

As of fourth street, Dan Cates bet with a pair of kings showing and was called by Michael Mizrachi. The same action repeated on fifth street and Mizrachi then check-called with his open two pair on sixth street. He then jokingly grabbed an entire stack of T-25,000 chips and splashed it in for a bet, instantly calling the raise by Cates.

Mizrachi showed the seven-low while Cates won the high portion with kings full.
