Liu Doubles Up off Sui

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Chenyi Liu shoved in middle position for around 245,000 and found a caller in big blind, Meikat Siu.

Chenyi Liu: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Meikat Siu: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

With the {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, Liu picked up a straight draw but the {2-Diamonds} that came on the turn gave her a pair. With a {9-Clubs} on the river, Siu didn't hit and the deuces were good for a double up for Liu.

Le Takes Chunk from Konnikova's Stack

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

With 150,000 in the middle, the flop read {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

Julie Le bet 75,000 from under the gun for Maria Konnikova to make the call from the cutoff.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and Le continued with a bet of 160,000 and was called again.

The river completed the board with the {k-Hearts} and Le took some time before firing a bet of 320,000 out. Konnikova contemplated it for a while, she glanced at Le, stared at the board, cut out calling chips, counted the remainder of her stack, and then made the call.

Le tabled the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} for the rivered set of kings. Konnikova smiled and mucked.

"I had queens," she admitted a few seconds later.
