Watson Has Good Timing

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

A player moved all in from under the gun and the player one seat over rejammed with the bigger stack. Mike Watson then called all in from the button and the remaining players got out of the way to set up the three-way all-in.

Under-the-Gun Player: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Mike Watson: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Early Position Player: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Watson had found rockets at precisely the right time and was well placed to eliminate the under-the-gun player and score a huge boost to his stack. The {2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop kept him ahead with the {k-Diamonds} turn ensuring he would not be eliminated, although the under-the-gun player could beat him to the main pot with a rivered ten. It did not happen with the {2-Hearts} river pairing the board and sending Watson rising up the leaderboard while eliminating the under-the-gun player.

Julius Finally Gets a Bounty

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Andre Akkari had fallen down to 65,000 and moved all in as Rob Hollink called. Kyle Julius then reshoved for 255,000, forcing out Hollink.

Andre Akkari: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Kyle Julius: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop left both players with straight draws needing the other to hit a set, but the board ran out {5-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Julius' nines stayed in front.

"My first cash. My first bounty of the tournament," Julius said, holding aloft Akkari's bounty chip.

Nikiforev Dents Hallaert's Stack

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Ilya Nikiforev moved all in for 330,000 and Kenny Hallaert called.

Ilya Nikiforev: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Kenny Hallaert: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Hallaert didn't get any help on the {10-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Nikiforev doubled up, knocking Hallaert below 800,000 after he had crested the 1,000,000-chip barrier before the break.

Barbero Doubles

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Nacho Barbero
Nacho Barbero

A player in the cutoff opened and Nacho Barbero moved all in from the button. The blinds got out of the way and the cutoff called to put Barbero at risk.

Nacho Barbero: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Cutoff Player: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Barbero was in a good spot to get a crucial double up and remained on course for just that following the {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. The {9-Hearts} turn did provide a sweat, giving the cutoff a wheel and flush draw but the {9-Clubs} river bricked out to send the pot Barbero's way.

Downs is a Force

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Robert Downs was already in contention for the chip lead before having another player all in and at risk in his latest hand.

Downs had {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and was racing against his opponent's {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. There would be no suspense in this coin flip, however, as the {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop gave Downs top set.

His opponent would only let out a sigh as the board ran out {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}, adding another bounty and more chips to Downs' already towering stack.

Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Jen Shahade moved all in for 240,000 and Rainer Kempe called in the cutoff to put her at risk.

Jen Shahade: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Rainer Kempe: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Both players hit a pair on the {8-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, but Kempe's ace was best as he stayed in front on the {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, sending Shahade to the payout desk.

Chance Kornuth was eliminated on another table at the same time.

Brown Chipping Up

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Andrew Brown
Andrew Brown

A player moved all in from under the gun and Andrew Brown rejammed with the bigger stack one seat over. The remaining players got out of the way and the under-the-gun player was officially at risk.

Under-the-Gun Player: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Andrew Brown: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

It was a race but one that Brown came out on top of following the {4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} runout, sending his stack into seven figures as the field continues to be whittled down.
