Lehr Folds to Taylor's Aggression

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Esther Taylor raised to 8,000 from an early position and Keith Lehr then potted to 27,000 with 31,500 behind. Taylor quickly piled in a tower of T-5,000 chips and that sent Lehr into the tank. He took off the glasses and glanced at his cards while Taylor jokingly flashed her four cards very quickly.

"This is my blind spot, I can't see," Lehr mentioned and Taylor grinned back "that's why I show them to you" (the cards were not visible by any means).

Ultimately, Lehr folded double-suited kings and Taylor exposed he {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}.

Short Day for Hellmuth

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After his runner-up finish in the $3,000 No-Limit Freezeout Saturday, Phil Hellmuth was among the late registrants on Day 2 but his day has ended before the first break of the day.

His former tablemates passed along the details of his elimination as he got his last 30,000 chips in against Peter Oh with each player holding {k-}{k-}{x-}{x-}, but while Hellmuth had a rainbow of suits, Oh had hearts working for him which came in on the turn of a {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{x-}{a-Hearts}{x-} board to send the 16-time bracelet winner on to the next one.

Assorted Counts in the Field

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jeff Hakim called a bet worth 12,000 on the river of a {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} board and was good enough with his {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for two pair as his opponent only briefly showed the cards before tossing them into the muck.

Rezaei Doubles Up and Then Some

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Daniel Rezaei opened with a limp in middle position and was raised to 13,500 by Kenneth Lin in the hijack. Toby Lewis called in the cutoff and with action back on him, Rezaei now back-raised to 58,000.

Lin moved all in, covering Rezaei's last 77,000 chips. After some deliberation, Lewis chose to fold and Rezaei called.

Daniel Rezaei: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Kenneth Lin: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts} giving Rezaei a queen-high straight to win the pot and double up.

Kitai Jams Into Costa

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Davidi Kitai raised on the button and then called a pot-sized reraise to 26,000 by Christopher Costa in the small blind. Costa then bet the {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop for 25,000 and Kitai moved all-in for 70,000 total. The reluctant fold by Costa followed, who said "I would have called but I didn't have clubs in my hand".

Teliani Chips Up Against Fishman

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Three ways to the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} turn, Ken Fishman bet 17,000 out of the big blind and Nohad Teliani called from one seat over, as did Brandon Caputo in the cutoff. The {j-Clubs} river brought another bet worth 30,000 by Fishman and Teliani just called while Caputo got out of the way.

Fishman announced a queen and flashed the {q-Clubs} but Teliani had that beat with the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} for queens full.

Ognjen Sekularac: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

The flop came {7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, sending Butler for an extended break, while the rest of the field takes 15-minutes.

Teliani Wins a Huge One Before Break

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

As players made their way to the hallway for break, Nohad Teliani was mixed up in a huge pot with Ken Fishman, and to a lesser extent, Farid Dhanani, who was all in on a very short stack.

The side pot between Teliani and Fishman saw Fishman all in for his last 180,000 chips with Teliani having him covered.

Farid Dhanani: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Ken Fishman: {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Nohad Teliani: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The board came {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, with both Dhanani's aces holding for the small main pot and Teliani's aces holding for the much bigger side pot to send her on break with nearly 500,000 chips.
