The turn was the {q-Hearts} and the small blind bet 6,000. Only Dave Baldanza called in middle position.

The {j-Hearts} was the river and Baldanza checked behind when checked to. The small blind showed {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} while Baldanza turned over {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} to take down the pot, much to the frustration of his opponent.

Malebranche had aces cracked by Andre Clarke who made a straight on the flop, with the open-ended flush draw, and took that nice 100,000 pot.

Mcalpin Makes Sick Call

Joining the action in a blind versus blind battle with Maria Mcalpin in the big blind. There was around 43,000 in the pot with the board {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}.

Her opponent in the small blind had moved all in covering her. Mcalpin called for her tournament life.

Mcalpin had called with just an open-ended-straight-draw but was somehow ahead of her opponent who only had a gutshot. Mcalpin only had to fade three outs and the river brought the {a-Hearts} giving her the double up since her better kicker played.

Another player called Mcalpin a savage as she collected her chips.
