Curcio Chipping Down

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

A player was all in for 21,000 on a flop {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} with {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} in his hands and against Luigi Curcio who was covering him, holding {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Curcio was in good shape to bust a player but the the rest of the board showed a {k-Diamonds} and a {a-Spades} to give two pair to Curcio's opponent and the double up.

Goindoo Reaches 100,000

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action was picked up with 13,000 in the pot and a doubly paired board reading {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}. After Ryan Goindoo checked from the small blind to Shawn Buchanan, the big blind, led out for 4,100. After a bit of thought, Goindoo put in a raise to 11,000, earning a call from Buchanan.

The {j-Clubs} hit the felt on the river, and Goindoo led out for 16,000. Buchanan fairly quickly called. Goindoo showed {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for the full house, while Buchanan's cards went into the muck.

Franco Sends Madsen Out

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jeff Madsen
Jeff Madsen

No-Limit Hold'em

Jeff Madsen raised on the button to 23,000 and Sonny Franco three-bet to 6,200 in the small blind. Madsen took a minute and shoved for a stack around 27,000, which Franco snap-called:

Jeff Madsen: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Sonny Franco: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Madsen didn't find any miracle throughout the board {5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and made his way to the exit.

Big Double Up for Ribouchon

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

According to the table, a player limped and Florian Ribouchon raised to 4,000. Jason Stockfish called and the big blind player shoved for 12,000. Ribouchon repotted for 46,000 and Stockfish decided to call.

All the rest of the chips went in the middle on the flop {6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Spades}. Ribouchon shoved for his last 20,000 and Stockfish called to create the following showdown:

Big Blind: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Florian Ribouchon: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Jason Stockfish: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}

The {10-Clubs} hit the river, giving a set to Ribouchon and the {3-Clubs} completed the board to bust the big blind and give Ribouchon more than the double up. Stockfish, left short stack after that hand, busted a few minutes later.

Running Quads Strike Twice on Table 110

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Action was picked up with about 23,000 in the pot and a flop of {4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} on the table. Blake Napierala moved all in from the hijack for 33,200. Coby Lacy, in the cutoff, made the call, putting Napierala at risk.

Blake Napierala: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Coby Lacy: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Napierala had Lacy dominated and seemed poised to score a big double up, until the {q-Diamonds} hit on the turn to improve Lacy to a full house. He would improve to quads on the {q-Clubs} river, more than enough to crack Napierala's aces, sending him out of the tournament.

After the hand, Lacy was eager to tell PokerNews about another hand that had happened shortly before. Two players got it all in preflop, with one holding {a-}{k-} and the other {10-}{10-}. The pocket tens improved to a full house on the {2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, giving that player over 99% equity in the pot. The {2-Hearts} on the turn didn't change too much, but the {2-Spades} river gave both players quads, with the ace kicker playing, and winning the pot for that player.
